First real test for Dirrell and he did really well! Even though i pick dirrell to win
it all i have to admit i was worried about the froch fight!
Yesterday he showed he is still learning and getting better and better!
And thats how he fights! Backs up and is waiting for counters!
    Nothing wrong about it!
Next fight he has to be 200% vs abraham! One mistake and its over we all know! Another important thing! Where will be the dirrel -abraham fight?
    Pls not in germany!

Dont get me wrong froch isnt the mos skilled fighter! But this guy
is dangerous at every second in each round! And of course it wasnt easy for dirrell but he landed the cleaner and stronger punches clearly!!

I'm a Dirrell fan now purely on his performance last night. Shocking decision.

Would dirrell have gone toe to toe with froch he would have gotten knocked out just like taylor! If abraham wasnt such a slow starter he would have koed taylor in less then 5 rounds!

boxing isn't all about slugging it out.. and when Dirrell did begin to trade towards the end he was the one landing.. not Froch.. Or did you happen to watch a different fight?

They went toe to toe in the last rounds and Dirrell hurt Froch not the other way around.

He's good. He's got some seriously impressive attributes. Needs to toughen up his mentality a bit. I thought he won clearly last night but the critics are right to point out his constant complaining.

Well said chief. Out of all the possible outcomes, coming home from Nottingham with a disputed SD loss is one of the best ones we could've hoped for although I'm disappointed he didn't come home with the title. Given that this was his first fight against a top 10 opponent, he's got nothing to be ashamed of.

The most important thing is that he didn't get outclassed or look out of his league, and handled a tough situation and environment pretty well when it was all said and done; that tells me there's still alot of promise for him in this tournament (and beyond) because the mistakes he made are the kind he can fix as long as he's not in denial about it.

The absolute worst thing for Andre at this point would be for him to start throwing the word "robbery" around because he needs to focus 100% on the mistakes he made and how to fix them in order to truly develop from the fight going forward. As long as he worries only about what he can do better and applies it, he's going to be a ***** to deal with the rest of the way out.

He absolutly cannot afford to let this loss linger with the Abraham fight coming up. He's still got two shots left to get himself into the semifinals, and that needs to be the priority for him.

I don't see Dirrell ever being anything special . Loads of skill, decent power, but rather than applying that to a good controlled aggressive style he opts to run and play defense. While I appreciate boxing skill I prefer to support fighters who walk into the ring with a desire to press the action and knock the other guy out. Dirrell's a runner.
