Like i said yesterday and i'll type this on capital WHOEVER SCORE IT FOR FROCH IS A FREAKING ****** THAT ISNT A BOXING FAN.
I have yet to see any convincing argument for why Froch won that isnt' some combination of "he walked forward" and "Dirrell held a lot". I'm not sure either of those are scoring categories but people literally seem to believe that Froch won the fight purely by showing up, since he did ****all other than walk forward. Dirrell deserved the fight because as bad as he looked and as awkward as it was, Froch looked even worse in almost every round, and committed the far more flagrant fouls in the form of rabbit punching, holding and hitting, a nice judo toss, elbowing and hitting on the break.
After watching it again, I scored it 6-5-1 for Dirrell with the deduction making it a draw. But rounds 1, 3, 6, 8, and 12 could have gone either way. That's alot of swing rounds.
Froch was supposed to walk through Dirrell. Froch was supposed to knock Dirrell out. Hell, let's be honest, Dirrell won that fight. I saw it 116-111 for Dirrell. Dirrell learned a lot this first night and it's only going to help him in the future. Froch on the other hand....there's no way in hell he wins this tournament fighting like that. Ward would have shut Froch out, similar to how he will shut Kessler out. All you loud mouthed Froch fans that have been insulting everyone who disagrees with you about your amateurish, slow, wide fighter....you should be ashamed of yourselves. Your fighter won a fight he did not deserve. Froch was COMPLETELY outclassed. He's lucky that happened in England. Taylor and Froch will not advance past the first three fights. Shame on you Froch fans for knowing so little about the sweet science. You folks are a joke.
How can ppl not see that, is my question! Then again, you must be profoundly insane to think an european won by dec. to an american... they must be close to kill their american counterparts in a brutal KO (ala Taylor) in order for many americans to recognize defeat... yep , it is a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh, and there's still ppl in here that think (even if they don't admit it) Taylor was clearly winning!!
Don't worry.. I'm glad to say the majority of the forum isn't blinded by the nuthuggery that goes on..
u have to give te chaser some love, stylistically a runner will have an adv over an aggressor because the the sprinter hits and runs away. So give the warrior slugger some love. I am sick of runners in BOXIN they shoud be penalized for excessive running.
Is it me or do Americans always think that their fighters are way better than they actually are??? Kessler or Abraham are the only two guys who can win this tournamant, they are a cut above the rest imo, if they were American and Ward was Danish there is no way you would be making that statement.
Round 3 wasn't hard to score. Froch barely did anything. I got no problem if anybody score it for Froch in the 1st round cause that was a very close round. Rounds 6th and 8th i give it to Froch even though he was just wrestling with Dirrell and rabbit punching but since the ref did nothing i give it to Froch. The 7th i give it to Froch as well. So basically i give Froch only 3 rounds. Now in round 12, i watch that last round many times and for the life of me i don't know why how anybody score that round to Froch. He clearly did nothing until like alittle bit of something in the last 25 or 20 seconds left to go.
No it's just you. Americans call it how they see it. We are not biased. We do not believe somebody will win a tournament because they are from our country, but because they are the best fighter in the tournament. Kessler and Abraham are absolutely a cut above, however, Ward is a cut above both of them. Actually, he is several levels above both of them. I saw Ward and his trainer yesterday. They are confident. They predict panic from Kessler after the first round when he sees things aren't going to go his way. I couldn't agree more. Hell, let's continue this conversation November 22....don't hide. I'll be here.
No way could round 12 have gone to froch, that was a clear Dirrell round IMO. I scored round 1 even. It was really hard to give Froch any rounds when the most effective punches he landed all night were a few jabs.
