Its funny. Anglosaxon is a troll, and will say the most outrageous ****, Hatton was beating Mayweather, Calzaghe is the greatest fighter ever ect. And even he said the fight was close. It shows you how big a stick up it was.

 

That was a display of talent.....The man was able to use his feet to get out of the way of any shots coming at him and hit the man he fighting at will....talent my friend plan and simple.

 

Yes, it's not so bad. It was only a robbery, and not a total travesty.

I came into the fight hoping for Andre because I see a superstar in him. However, he showed that he is not ready to TAKE a title away from a seasoned pro. Froch fought for 12 hard rounds, while Dirrell coasted for 10 rounds and only fought hard for 11 and 12 sadly.

I still had it 6-6 because Dirrell despite his tendency to run and hug and admire his own slips instead of actually punching.... despite that he was able to slip Froch's punches so much in some rounds that the few punches Dirrell did throw sometimes were enough to win the round. However overall I accept that Dirrell just didn't try hard enough for the first 10 rounds.

I am still a fan of Andre. He was gracious in defeat and he has a skillset that fewer than three people have in boxing today - now these are big words, but I am so up for Dirrell. However, he is obviously still a boy in the process of becoming a man. Once he grows some "Abrahams" he will be lethal.

So I was hoping for Dirrell, and I still hope he will be in the final. But I do understand that he needs to actually want to win more - and not just hope that slipping, running etc. will be enough. It wasn't in this fight and it will not be in the tourney - so he will need to grow up asap.

 

Ashyknucles. He has it even or one for Dirrell as far as I remember, but his overall analysis is good. And he basically calls everyone who thinks it was a robbery a moron!

direll is a runner. he has no power and obviously is not sold on his own ability to take a shot. hes got a loud mouth though just can't back it up.

froch is a tough guy, but not good boxer.

its clear to me now that the cream of the tourney are AA and Kessler.

 

Thank you for starting the thread. The US v UK thing has always confused me. Obviously, if the fighter comes from your country you're going to be able to relate to him more but it doesn't mean you switch your brain off and blindly follow him no matter what.
My avatar shows my support for the UK but it's more a sign of support for David Haye rather than the UK. That's one you'll understand later on but let's leave it for now eh.

well......you have to be blind not to see all the punches dirrell landed on froch...I didnt see hardly any punches from froch that landed on dirrel beside the rabbit punches behind the head....if your judging the fight base on that ...then yeah froch WON..!

And the boxing fans are quick to comment about Dirrell's very unimpressive style.

He does pretty much the same thing with Carl Froch..... and now he's a boxing genius.

Who here has actually boxed? Ever box a guy that literally hops around, ducks and spins out when you have him in the corner? Wraps up with you as soon as you get in close?
That's not fighting. And if it is.... there are very few interested souls who are going to pay to sit through it.
And if you think it's that complicated to do or that you have to be some insanely skilled boxer to pull it off you're fooling yourself.

 

I sense a lot of the Dirrel nuthuggers are between 12-25 yrs old.

 

It wasn't a robbery. Even if 70% of fans think Dirrell won, and the judges scored it for Froch, that doesn't make the fight a robbery. My experience on ESB is that most boxing fans can't score a fight for ****.

 

If he had fought like that the whole fight you might have a point. However he boxed Froch, outjabbed in, and in the championship rounds, wobbled Froch and nearly knocked him out. There is the difference friend.

Please dont give Froch points because he couldnt hit Dirrell. Dirrell is from Michigan which has produced master boxers such as Joe Louis, Hearns Mayweather and Toney. He's not gonna become a ugly brawler like Froch because you dont like his style.
