This is exactly what the Froch fans were saying about Andre Dirrell!!!! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecb_W-62REs[/ame]
Dirrell Telegraphs his punches. He has to learn to throw his punches without telegraphing, and he has to punch in combinations. This one punch I'm done is not going to win the super six. If you compare him to Roy Jones Jr at this stage Roy Jones Jr was throwing 5-10 punch combinations, none of them telegraphed. Dirrell needs to learn and use the check hook. He needs to use an untelegraphed uppercut. His jab is very good but he also needs to improve his footwork and balance. Overall hes a very good fighter but he has to make serious improvements before he will have a chance at winning the Super Six or even advancing. He also is too easy to hit because he didn't use his head movement enough in the fight. I admit he has defensive skills but he is not consistent.
Yea and even then Dirrell starts clinging on straight afterwards, Froch still dizzied and starting to club him around the head. This is supposed to be a fight, it's not the amatures.
If you look Dirrel ducks to a position where he can't really be legaly punched. I still think Dirrell won the fight.
I think Froch is tough guy in great shape. But I was seriously unimpressed with him. He lost that fight eventhough Dirrell is annoying as hell with his falling down and complaining to the ref.
Froch is a god awful boxer and is dirty as hell. I'd rather dive head first into a pool with no water then be a fan of this scumbag.
I agree. I think Roy was also always mentally strong in his fights, and Direll needs to improve his mental toughness. Boxing is 80% mental, and I'm sure if Direll improves his overall defense and fights with confidence, he'd perform much better. I'm anxious to see how he does in the next fight.
I wrote in another thread that Dirrell had Froch doing a dance step and someone jumped on my neck saying that I was a stupid yank who couldn't admit that Froch had an iron chin. Froch was clearly rocked and was lucky that the round was over when this happened.
