The IBO does seem to be getting a lot more attention than it used to.

The ABC belts are evermore becoming a joke.

It means he can beat Danny Green. Which compared to Jones latest fights represents quite a decent scalp. Green is at least coming to win, you know he's going to be inspired in this fight, I don't know what Lacy and Sheika were coming for except a payday.

Danny Green is made for him, but he's got a solid punch so Jones just has to be a little careful.

Will it count for real though, in the way we see Toney as a Cruiser champ?

The difference between the belts is getting ever more foggy.

I mean, at least Toney beat Jirov (I assume that's what you mean, dropping "Tony"...)

Not as much as it will to defeat a legit and dangerous lightheavy. Something roy hasn't done in a long time.

It'll mean he can beat a B/B- level LHW when he's overweight.

It might more and more over the years people have considered the IBO to be yet another World Championship like we dont have enough.

    Yes, Toney.

The thing is, you never know, the IBO is on the up, the IBF seems to be on the way down. What a mess.

At least this time there won't be Jones cheer leading crowd, lifting the roof, impressing the judges, at the couple of combinations he throws each round in between sleeps.

Unless he's takeing them all down to Australia that is.

Also, on that point, his tour down under also debunks the question about his career that Jones never travelled.. which is handy.

Still, it is a reasonably live fight.
