    The simple fact is

Mick hennessey cant promote a big event let alone a small event to save himself.
He could have made froch a household name by now if he pushed his name onto terrestrial tv channels, papers, radio etc and actually got his fights shown on legit/popular channels.
The fact he hasnt been able to do any of this but yet still expects 30,000 fans to turn up is suicide. There were still tickets left for the dirrell fight and that was a 9,000 seater.

    IDIOT springs to mind.
Get froch on t.v instead of talking bull**** you twat!

Would 4000 Danes come over for a Froch fight...... he doesn't have the profile that Calzaghe had at the time, nor would this fight be for the 'undisputed' title (I know, I know ;))

Froch can certainly perform better than he did against Dirrell on Saturday, but will that be enough?

Not so sure, to be honest. Kessler will most likely jab his head off for the first few rounds before opening up with the rights and uppercuts, leading to a late stoppage.

I like Froch a lot, but have always said Kessler is all wrong for him. He will be easier to find than Dirrell though, but don't see the Dane as particularly vulnerable.

no chance of getting this moved , calzaghe had a history of filling the millenium and was the main draw at SMW. Anyway isnt the point of the tournament to fight an equal amount of fights home and away to avoid too much home advantage.

was at the fight saturday great atmosphere in the FM arena but to fill 30k plus is a bridge too far given Froch's very limited exposure. Part of me thinks even if he knocked
Kessler spark out he still wouldn't get a mention on TV or Radio, yet we know every move
of a bunch of talented but UNPROVEN olympians who haven't even had 5 fights yet.

I dont blame him for wanting the fight in England, he knows Carl's 0 has gone if its anywhere else.

Get it on in Denmark for crying out loud. I wanna go back to Copenhaaaagen!

How Mick thinks he'd get 30,000 is beyond me. He'd maybe have a shot if he had a stonking undercard. Get Murray, Witter, Barker and Fury on in meaningful fights and he might have a shot of 30,000.

He'd probably get 30k under Warren, he's a marketers dream really, he's clever, he can talk trash, he's got a lot of heart, he brawls in the ring, he didnt hit to many ugly branches on the way down etc, but with this inept idiot in charge of him he wont make anywhere near the cash he could have done.

I'm not sure it will end up making financial sense. I'm sure they could get the same amount in Denmark, and Danish PPV is going to make a lot more money than British PPV. It's better off marketing it there.

I think that at most 5000 Danes would come. Then, another 500 foreigners (Germans et al.) might be tempted to attend too, as long as Abraham doesn't fight on the same night.

If Froch couldn't sell out a 9000 seater in his hometown after the heroics in the Taylor fight, I doubt more than 12,000 home fans would attend a Kessler fight, including 2000-3000 Welsh and English non-Froch Kessler fans.

All in all, at the outside, 17,500 is all that anyone could hope for, in my view. Given Froch's performance from the other night and his chances against Kessler, it is not at all certain that he could bank on 9000-10,000 Froch fans attending either.

Realistically, half of 30,000 would be closer to the on-the-night figure, in my view. 15,000 would be a very good result for a Hennessy promoted fight, I think.

    30,000 for a Froch fight.

OK then. Thats what, 21000 Kessler fans I take it?

    This Hennesey really is deluded

Froch could win the tournament Julian Jackson style and still wouldnt do **** for his profile.

£1m for 3 fights. If Froch was promoted correctly he would laugh at £1m for 1 fight

This fight will almost certainly take place in Copenhagen, in front of 30,000 fans including 2000-3000 travelling British Froch and/or Kessler fans. Probably, it will take place at a decent hour two, so we won't have to stay up half the night again. Who knows, it might even be shown prime-time on ITV and German TV if it's taking place in Denmark, because Hennessy would certainly have it at 2.30 am in England to get more American TV money.

Pretty sure Showtime will be able to call the shots with regards to fight times all the way through, I doubt that that is much to do with Hennessy....

i agree £1m for 3 super fights seems low...out of interest are all the fighters paid this amount ??? is each fight divided equally between the fighters ?

    thanks and excuse my ignorance
