Why do you keep spamming this useless video.. it means nothing.. someone could easily make a count video of Froch air punching, rabbit punching and doing judo moves.. they were as bad as eachother.. you can scream as much as you want about Dirrell running and clinching.. at the end of the day he landed more punches and made Froch look clumsy and inaccurate while doing so..:deal
Any comparison to Ruiz fails. Ruiz cheats (by holding) and gets gift decisons and has no skills. Dirrell ain't cheating, just using his legs to avoid punches. The ring is big for a reason (as opposed to a phonebooth) and that's because avoiding punches through running or whatever uou call it is part of the game so longs as you are using your offense too (which he was). Yes, he should have ran less but he arguably did enough to win that fight so.....
Dirrell doesnt belong because he doesnt have the experience yet. He has no business in that tournament until he gets some more experience. Abraham could potentially end his career. Dirrell was starting to fold under Froch's pressure, times that by ten with Abraham. Could be ugly.
dirrell is an excellent young fighter who brings attributes none of the other fighters have in the super 6, he deserves his place, boxing is an art and not just about slugging it out in the centre of the ring
Why don't you take your yellow tongue from deep inside Dirrell's anal cavity and say something that makes sense and is on the subject for a change. I am not debating who should be awarded a victory here. My point is that your boyfriend's style of running away all the time, holding, and falling when no one even touched him is what makes him a rotten apple in this otherwise great tourney. This is supposed to be an exciting event is now going to have stinker fights, because of Dirrell. Froch, as limited as he was, tried to make it an interesting fight, but Dirrell simply ran away. Regardless of whether he landed more punches or not, this style makes for a horrible fight for millions of fans. It has no place in a tournament like this. Are you finally able to see the point or your eyes are still firmly drilled into Dirrell's but cheeks to understand what is going on? If so, try to make a response that has at least an ounce of intelligence in it next time.
wait until you see Ward Clinching the hell out of Kessler, Dirrell will look like gatti after that performance.
I don't have a problem with a guy holding if he comes to win and fight. But this guy (Dirrell) did NOT come to win. He came to not get knocked out. That's just BS. This clown thinks he can win a belt like that? He should have been disqualified.
not ready for the tournament? all of you who think that are fools and do not know boxing. it was a hometown decision, thats it. it happens in boxing all the time. froch was outclassed but was at home. it even happened to whitaker against ramierez. direll is highly skilled, cant fight on the inside, but is a derserving fighter of the opprotunity.
He didn't school anyone and he looked nowhere near Hopkins/Mayweather level. These two guys connect a lot more and are busier. He is is not on their level at all. Floyd and Hopkins, with rare exceptions, are interesting to watch. They make things exciting for the most part. Dirrell made this fight unbelievably boring. He certainly seemed to have taken worst from both legends though. He runs worse than Floyd and he hugs worse than Hopkins. Also he falls to the ground quite a bit untouched. Sounds like Ruiz II to me more like the legends you mentioned. The thing that bothers me is that this tournament was supposed to be best against best, the most exciting event in boxing really, due to its revolutionary concept. 15 great fights before play-offs elimination fights. Now, that Dirrell showed his true colors, 5 out of 15 fights will be extremely boring. He alone just ruined 1/3 of the tournament. And if he was running and hugging and falling and holding in his first title fight, opening night of the great tournament, imagine what he is going to do during regular round robin fight. It's just a disgrace, which really makes 1/3 of the entire event boring as hell. He simply didn't belong here for that reason, and Showtime made a huge mistake of inviting someone like Ruiz for this competition. Imagine, having Bute instead of this guy.
Yet you don't bring up the fact that dirrell was the only one landing clean punches. Regardless of what you say, YOU CAN'T SAY THAT FROCH LANDED 5 CLEAN PUNCHES ON DIRRELL'S FACE THE WHOLE NIGHT. It was obvious that dirrell landed way more than 5 and had rounds where he landed more than 5 in them. Anyone who can tell the difference landed and missed punches could tell that dirrell landed more than froch atleast 10 to 1. Add up every clean punch from each round and then come back here and say froch won. He was getting his head snapped back on a regular basis.
I think we can all agree that dirrell held on too much...and much more than he needed to as it turns out. but not belonging in the tournament??? since i don't have a dog in this race since jt obviously isnt gonna win...i watched this fight objectively and noticed several glaring things that make me think your a blind hater/hugger if you didnt see them, 1. dirrell slipped...get over it. it happens. if the ref was calling a knockdown a slip then fine, get mad. but that didnt happen. 2. dirrell didnt deserve to get a point deducted. and if dirrell deserved to a get a point deducted then so did froch, period 3. froch got beat to the punch all night, badly at some points. 4. froch looked terrible when he had dirrell on the ropes and dirrell was making him miss and look ogrish w/ those chopping punches. even the commentators were awed at one point when dirrell made froch miss about four straight punches. 5. froch was buzzed by someone i thought didnt have the power to do it to him 6. froch was literally walking at dirrell w/ his hands almost straight down by his side at one point, and would rock his left twice below his waist before flicking his jab out there, almost telegraphing it. this will cause him to be hurt badly if he does it against a guy like aa or kess who will come right down the pipe on him. 7. dirrell was running...ok, fine..this is a 20 x 20 ring carl, if all you can do is stalk around like a caveman all night at least learn how to cut the ring off effectively...if this kid is too green has no business in the tourny, froch being the champ should be able to cut the ring off, right?? i mean someone as bad as dirrell can't hide forever agains the champ, right?? 8. what makes it so grating on me is the way he conducted his post fight interview. i expect the champ to conduct himself with class...enough on that point. 9. i didnt see froch do one thing in the ring that he can come away w/ as saying, "damn, that's what i wanted to do and i did it to perfection." he pressed the action. he has a big heart and a come forward style so that is to be expected, but to what end? pressing the action is a means to an end. so i ask again, to what end?? all this means is that if dirrell doesnt belong, then he can go meet froch where ever froch is gonna watch the rest of the tournament b/c froch doesnt deserve to be there either if that's the case. sorry for the rant, fellas :hi:
