Then who is in that weight class? Mir beat Nog, Lesnar destroyed Mir. And lets not forget Lesnar smashing legendary Couture. Mir, Nog and Couture are at the top of the food chain in the UFC heavyweight class. I think you're a little delusional. Brock is the champ for a reason. He's a baby in the MMA world and he's taking out the best like it ain't no thing.

Lesnar is overrated. Yeah, he has freakish strength and very good ground game but Machida can still outpoint him via strikes.

I still want to see Lesnar make it past the rejuvenated Nogueira. Nog looked like his old self in his fight with couture. I'll take Nog to sub Lesnar at this stage.

We don't know for sure if NOG is rejuvenated. He outclassed a shot 46 yr old man that can't take a punch anymore and who's ground game was never on the same level as NOG's. We'll know if NOG is rejuvenated with his next couple of fights. And even if he was, I doubt he beats Lesnar.

Mir, Couture and Herring top notch? You are an idiot if you honestly think any of these fighters are top notch.

So who is in that division? Quit side-stepping the question and answer already.

    What the hell?

Name 5 HW's who were "top notch" at the time, outside of Fedor?

Define what top notch is, and who fits that definition, because if Mir and Couture didn't fit that description, only Fedor did.

25 minutes is a damn long time to avoid being taken down; If Machida is to win that fight he would almost certainly have to finish it, and be able to fight off his back for at least a while.

I don't think it's impossible for Machida to win that fight, just that he would have to end it; championship fights tend to be less likely to go to decision anyway.

    Dude, give it up.

I think that Lesnars wins need to be qualified, ie Randy was 46 and actually seemed to be wearing him down before his now glass jaw got hit; Mir, while a submission fighter, gets beat up fromthe guard a lot - if you going to be a successful gnp fighter you should really be beating Mir with no trouble; Herring, journeyman? Herring was his most impressive victory; he fought 15 mins against a solid gatekeeper.

Anyway, reagardless of these qualifications, Lesnar has had an awesome start to his career in terms of names and actual quality. Pawel nastula may have had a tougher start in recent times; thats all I can think of. And he lost them all.

oh btw. Did you cry yourself to sleep when your butt buddy Damian Maia

    got his ****ing head clocked!!!???

to bad he thought stand up didn't matter in mma like those gracie advertisment and their idiot followers looking to sniff bjj/wrestlers jock strap for dry DnA

Brock stand up is down right awful. he turtles when he gets over whelmed with striking. Frank Mir had him shook , Kongo finishes.
