I don't play the race or color game . . . so I'll call it as I'm calling it now. Froch won by at least a round.

I'm white, Irish, live in England-in the Midlands in fact which is the same region Nottingham is in, I like Froch, watched him come up and I think Dirrell won. The fact is he landed more punches. Now, you don't necessarily win by landing more, not if the opponent lands better punches but Froch didn't.

Wrong. If Dirrell was a british fighter and Froch was american, Froch would have at least one point deducted, Dirrell would still be a lot faster than Froch, the righteous winner would still be Dirrell and the majority of boxing fans on this forum would also have Dirrell as the winner; the most important difference is that a british Dirrell would have gotten the decision by the judges as well.

I'm white, but I was rooting for Taylor against Abraham, and I watched this fight closely, scoring each round one by one and I had Froch winning narrowly. A lot of rounds it seemed like Dirrell was landing but his punches made no impact sound. When Froch landed, you could HEAR it, even though the crowd roared every time he landed a jab. I dont count running for much and I think Dirrell gave away too many rounds (esp. in the beginning).

Now we're dicussing judging, how did the judges have Abraham ahead by 5 points at the point of stoppage?

The loser alway tries to remove focus from the fights, there's no reason to make this a national or race issue, nothing to do with it. Thank god Abraham KO'd Taylor because that leaves no doubt. Just glad Taylor is getting better.

If Froch was american and Dirrell was from british, would you still be saying Dirrell is a disgrace? Be honest.

^^^That was one of the best defense i've seen in a long time. Dirrell didn't hold his gloves high, didn't move away, he stood there on the ropes ducking like he's Whitaker.

If Dirrel was White and European , and Froch was black and American, and they fought in America, all the Euros would claim that Dirrell put on a masterful perfomance and was robbed by corrupt American judges. See, two can play that game.

if what you saw that night was froch "outclassing" dirrell i think you should just stop watching boxing(your no good for the sport) . truth is froch looked terrible and hell, dirrell didnt look pretty either, but the fact is that dirrell did the much better work. sure froch kept coming forward but what else did he do, body slaming:huh, rabbit punching:huh, hitting air:huh, or getting rocked in the 10th:huh
so please stop claiming that somthing as petty as race is why no one wants to give your fighter any respect and face the facts, froch is a super sloppy brawler with horride technique and even fights dirty when he gets frusterated :-(

fact of the matter is.. the 1 punch can cause blood.. 1 punch can't win a decision in boxing..

I know if this fight was fought on neutral ground with a crowd that wouldent go crazy every time froch did one of his little rushes or land one punch (or body slaming dirrell:-() there would be no doubt who won this fight(dirrell comfortable UD)

In professional boxing each judge scores each round using the following criteria:
    • Clean Punching (25%)
    • Effective Aggression (25%)
    • Ring Generalship (25%)
    • Defense (25%)
It was a close fight but with the point deducted and Froch being the champ the decision was not out of line.
