.....Pac-Man is a great fighter future hall of famer, and presents a huge task for Cotto. Cotto has the toughness, and the skills to defeat Pac-Man. During his tenure from 135-147 Pac-man hasnt fought anyone who has tested his chin, which Cotto will do, throw the type of combinations or has throws to the body the way Cotto does, and someone who will push him back. Cotto is a complete fighter. Uppercuts and straights shot get in on Cotto but Cotto is alot sturdier than Diaz and Hatton. Cotto can also adjust, adapt and Pac-Man has never been a master boxer or defensive wiz also Cotto is a good counterpuncher. He will impose his will and strength on the smaller faster Pac-man and surprise th elot of you.

 

Nobody - even Pacquiao fans are denying that this will be a tough fight for Manny, and yes, he will have to overcome all of the stuff you listed. But if Pacquiao can skillfully execute and strategy where he darts in and out, Cotto is going to in for a rough night himself.

 

No question Cotto has a great body attack....but his body attack can be stopped and has in the past when he's stepped up in competition against Elite level opposition and best believe PAC will have the answer to counter and prevent Cotto's body attack. Miguel is a complelte fighter and he's good all around but not great in anyone area. PAC is great and I think that will be the big difference. The speed will be far too much for Cotto to mount anything signifigant or to get into a rythm. I think Cotto does well early, but is too agressive, looses staminia and begins to break down from PAC's accurate counter punching.

 

Most people on here act like Pac-man is gonna blow Cotto away in 3 or less. I agree its gonna be a tough fight I cant wait to see....If both follow the plan they have a chance IMO its a 50/50 fight. If Cotto can bring the defensive skills and counterpunching he brought in the Margarito fight.....even though he lost I was most impressed by him in that fight....he wins.

 

Two words explaining why Cotto will beat Pac: the jab.

Counter punching PAC vs Marg is a completely different ball game. Cotto will have a hard time finding his mark in there with PAC. I think he'll have little success late but more early on.

 

It is a different ball game but Pac-Man is hittable, not as much as Margarito but Pac-Man can be countered, isnt the best at parrying depends on his legs and head movement. Pac-Man is a lefty which makes him susceptible to the right hand and left hook Cotto's best punch and his Cotto has the fastest hands Pac-Man will encounter since Marquez.

Last i looked pacquaio's jab is serious business to,but i think it's pacman's right hook that will give cotto the most hell.
