Little of both I think. Don't see cotto being an easy job for anyone around his size. If mosely couldn't get rid of him I don't think oac could with cotto at his best

But most casual fans of the sport hate slick boxing right?

It would mean that Pac is that good! Cotto isn't shot, not even close. He is settling into his prime.

Definitely Cotto is shot. We all should learn from history.

well obviously everyone will say mannys that good but what if cotto wins? i wonder what theyll say then?

if cotto is on form, then theres no reason he cant beat manny, but he needs to keep him off with the jab and then counter when manny throws from range.

Cotto is definetely NOT shot IMO, so it would be due to Pac's extremely good timing, speed, accuracy and power. I think it's going to happen too.

....that whenever PACMAN wins, his opponents are SHOT. But when he loses, even by just 2 points and one eyed, he was SCHOOLED. :hat

Exactly, people always have to have an excuse. If he does do a number on Cotto and looks good doing it, there will be a ton of excuses instead of just accepting he is an outstanding fighter.

Cotto is my favourite fighter but if he gets smashed I'll be gutted but I'll take my hat off to Pac. He isn't shot either, that's bull****.

Yes, on the contrary. If Cotto dismatles and stops Pac, will Pacs fans admit that Hoya was far past it and that Pac had been overrated at WW as a result?

Most Pac fans rank Cotto above Pac at WW anyways.

    settling into his prime?

hes an even bigger drunk than hatton ever was and the last time he was in with a descent opponent, he got stopped! hes still a great fighter though. wondering weather the pace of this fight will be too much too soon since his defeat. if hes in form theres no reason he cant knock manny out!

Cotto's not shot. He's not at his absolute peak, and he'll probably never quite be 100% again post-Margarito, but he's far from shot.

Ali vs Holmes, Ali was shot.
Gatti vs Gomez, Gatti was shot.
Tyson vs McBride, Tyson was shot.

When we talk about shot, that's the level we're talking about. No one with half a brain can seriously argue that Cotto has hit that level yet. So if Pac gets him out early, then Pac is that good, or lucky. (For example if the fight is stopped on a cut early, ala De La Hoya-Chavez I).
