If Taylor step out after realizing he's done wouldn't Sturm be a good idea as a replacement? (IMo Sturm is much better than Taylor right now)

If Taylor pulls out I reckon Showtime will want an American replacement if possible.

considering the two best middle weights in the world are fighting dec. 5th and sturm just got a very very close decision in his last fight (117-111 is a joke) i would say no. now if the pav/williams winner wants to step in...

sturm being better than a shop worn version of jermain is debatable as well

Nah let him keep fighting at middle wieght. I'd rather see the winning of Bute Andrade enter the tournament. Sturm's game probably wouldn't play wel at the higher wieghts anyways cause he might be at a serious physical disadvantage. Just my opinion.

He should atleast see how his next fight goes since i dont think ward will KO him. However, if Ward beats Taylor up then Taylor needs to pack it in because I am 99% sure that Kessler would smoke him.

i reckon people will slate me for this but rather than an up and coming boxer being added, i'd like Roy Jones in the competition. It would add a different dimension to the contest. At the moment its the best of europe coupled with up and coming americans (not counting Taylor). It would be really interesting to see how Jones could handle fights like this. I don't for one second think he could beat Kessler, but i do think he's have a chance against the others. He's still fast, prob as fast as Dirrell. It would just be good in terms of adding new interest to the competion. And before everone starts on the "he's past it" bandwagon- I agree, he is, but after watching Froch Dirrell the other night i think he could still give people problems (especially slower fighters such as Froch)

whoever wins between Bute Andraded should go in. Bute I think would beat anyone besides Kessler in the tourny. He's got more credentials than Froch/Ward/Dirrell too.

think bute wud be a good shout. forget jones he aint got it no more. forget sturm. think williams wud be punching just abit above his weight (imagine him and kessler) pavlik wud certainly liven things up bein a top name american but abraham and kessler wud still have his number

Featherfisted Felix Sturm is not worthy of entering this great tournament. Taylor is still way better.

Did your dealer suggest that one?? Seriously, Sturm would never leave Germany let alone move up in weight let alone take on a hard fight. He's shite anyway. Bika and Green are much more propitious.
