Carl Froch has hit back at Joe Calzaghe, claiming he's jealous of his success. Wbc super-middleweight champ Froch is annoyed by Calzaghe's claims that he has no chance against WBA king Mikkel Kessler in his next fight in the Super Six Series. And he vowed to emulate the Welshman by beating Kessler when he puts his unbeaten record on the line against the giant Dane in the new year. "Joe Calzaghe had quite a difficult night's work with Mikkel Kessler and Mikkel Kessler is a great fighter," said Froch, who has a 26-0 record after a split decision against Andre Birrell at the weekend. What do people expect him to say "I am going to get my ass kicked." Of course he is going to be confident, and that's what makes Froch dangerous, he believes in his skills no matter how limited he maybe.

It's possible that Froch looks better against Kessler because Kessler is not as ellusive as Dirrell. Kessler is a very solid and precise fighter though, and has the ability to pick Froch apart.
