    He routinely says that he is fighting for himself and not his country. I believe it's hurt his popularity.

    He didn't say the island can go to hell, but he DID say that he fights for himself and not his country.

    I have heard that several times but have never seen any footage or written article confirming it, if you have any proof i would really love to see it, could u plz include any links to it??? I think, at most, it was probably something he said that was taking out of context since I've heard him several times how he's gonna bring a title 4 PR or bring a victory 4 all puertoricans... as a matter of fact he said it concerning this fight (Pac)!

    he doesn’t nail Pacman then, the tide will shift over to Manny. If it goes many rounds, I think Manny will prevail,” Martino said.

    Dude you are such a tool, your the new farmboxer.

    Still can't accept the fact that the DEAN of Puerto Rican boxing pick Pacquiao to win?? Farmy is OK, Floydettes are worst...:lol:

    Of course the DEAN is not writing off Cotto totally... That's how you give a logical, sensible bold prediction... Don't ever write off the one you didn't choose...

    It's clear the DEAN pick Pacquiao...

    "I thought wrong because the veteran journalist who is now public relations director for the Puerto Rico-based WBO, gives the WBO 147 pound champion from Caguas only a slim chance of an upset victory over the speedy Filipino."

    :lol::lol:

    Great, more motivation for Cotto. Even his own people doubt he will win. I hope Cotto trashes Manny so people can shut the hell up with this Manny hype.

    Yeah, it's a great motivation for Cotto when the most knowledgeable boxing person in his own country picks against him...

    The added motivation will make PAC-Cotto fight more competitive and exciting fight...

    What kind of question is that? Boxing is a sport not a community college. So, there is not such a thing as a dean. That said, Martino has been a boxing fan, analyst, and historian for many years. The guy know his **** and is allowed to express his opinion. I understand his point. Cotto hasn't look good at the end of some important fights like Mosley, Margarito,or Clottey. So, if you go by that, and the speed and conditioning Manny always bring to the ring, you could say its very probable Cotto will run out of gas. Now, I also have to say Cotto preparation for this fight has been quite different and apparently very intense. We don't really know much about his routine. The videos posted so far show a too comfortable Cotto. But I hope they are pushing him really hard during training. I am honestly hopeful but with some doubts. Tampa doesn't have an elevation either, which would be a good thing to improve Miguel's stamina. I just hope he shows up in the best condition of his career. Because he will need it.
