He must hit pretty damn hard because it made Taylor unwilling to throw anything but the jab.

Good point, we have a lot of AA haters say Taylor "did not throw the right enough"? If he threw the right as much as the JT fans wanted he would have been out earlier.:thumbsup

Taylor hit him square on the cup with an uppercut and clearly low a couple of other times. It wasn't intentional, obviously, and he was just trying to get below AA's guard, but he did. It wasn't like Hopkins rolling on the ground over a low blow that didn't even land.

That's one of the peculiarities that makes AA tough to deal with. He has a short torso and long arms so he can effectively cover most of his body even with a high guard. You take risks of landing low blows trying to punch under it. Can't ask the guy to quit guarding his body because it makes it difficult for opponents to punch there. =P

Round 9, the first time JT was REALLY stunned, look at that in slow mo and tell me that wasn't a fore-arm/elbow shot....:deal

well, keeping that defensive shell up for 12 rounds make your arms and shoulders stiff, so he loosen them . Thats normal, isn´t it?
I think the biggest problem for him in this fight were his trunks;)

Like him or not, this guy's for real. Not to exagerate, but he reminds me style wise of Rocky Marciano

In the last third of the Taylor fight,Abraham was actually blowing quite hard, despite throwing very little throughout the fight!

I give Dirrell an excellent chance of causing (what would be considered by many) an "upset".

Dirrell has a great left hook, which would be the perfect punch against Abraham's "hands in front of face" defense.

Taylor was one dimensional in the fight, simply throwing double jabs. When Abraham has his hands up protecting his face,Dirrell would need to land plenty of punches to Abrahams arms to bring them down. Also, plenty of uppercuts through the defense.

I thought Dirrell easily won the Froch fight and feel, against Abraham, he is going to exceed expectations.

PROVIDED, he stops moaning to the ref and falling down !!! :patsch

Glad you noticed that. Virtually eveyone else on ESB either did not notice it, or chose to willfully ignore it.

Vitali also looked winded towards the end of the night. Doesn't always mean much...

Abraham is an amazing fighter, and only deserves credit for his win imo. Its sad to see JT get sparked again though. He still has the potential, i don't know what keeps going wrong for him.

Are you honestly trying to hype Abraham's win. Ya -- big win -- against a guy who lost 3 of his last 4 and got knocked out twice. Hyping it makes AA fans look foolish.
