This fight is horrible.... but then again what else to they have really? if people will watch, i mean... Jirov and Toney need money, and this is their life.... who else could they fight realistically for decent money that wont abuse them?

That being said... Jirov is so shot that the people around him, imo, should advise him to retire. Toney will school him.

This could actually wind up being pretty evenly matched if they both happen to be equal measures faded from six years ago. :yep

The first fight was a classic!!! However I do not think that Jirov should have been allowed to fight again after that. I hear Toney has lost a lot of weight and is looking good for a fighter his age. Maybe the winner of Jones vs. Hopkins should fight Toney.

Jones-Toney isn't too crazy if Jones is successful against Green and plans to drop anchor at Cruiserweight (barring the Hopkins rematch).

Hell, BHop himself could wear 200 comfortably IMO. There's been speculation about him doing it (or even going after a weak HW titlist...back when there was Oleg to pick on) for years.

If Toney really is walking around at 207 he could really undergo a brief but brilliant career renaissance.

Lord knows he's done it before. There's just a hell of a lot more wear on him than on Roy and Bernard. I'd be pretty damned surprised if he fought himself back into semi-relevance again.

Bring back Darius, maybe Ottke and we're building an oldtimers Super 6 US vs Europe at 200 lbs.

The Toney/Jirov idea seems cruel and unusual, though.

And everyone wondered why Roy was biding his time... he knew, he knew.

The Ancient 8, brought to you by Versus.

Roy, Nard, Toney, and Charles Brewer versus Calzaghe, DM, Jirov, and Robin Reid.

It sounds like a Toney-Jirov II match is just to test the waters at HW for Jirov again and give the fans what they want.

So speaking of the Burger King, what's Toney up to?

Is he gonna fight somebody worth a damn?

    Maybe Arreola?
