Rocky Marciano. Look at Marciano's skills: good, but not great. That man traded on 100% top line intensity and brutality. He wasn't that fast but he put more on every punch than any pressure fighter, ever and he could hit. And he hit anywhere. And he followed through with elbows and heads. Pure aggression, utter brutality. For the definitive brutal Rocky performance check out his worst title defence in terms of form against Don Cockell. Thumbed, battered, butted, hit when down, all at 100% intensity.
Lots of mentions of Tyson. I understand why, but I don't agree. At his best, Tyson was a precision tool, as much lazer as wrecking ball. He was brutal but he didn't trade just on brutality. He was more, and less than that.
Floyd! Brutal to the eyes, and all the other senses. He's nasty. Some people even walk out of his fights. They can't stand the brutality.
