lol i love ricky hatton but like everyone else i think mayweather or pacquiao is pushing it. ricky can bring us great entertainment without fighting these guys. i think with a good trainer (id like to see him get with enzo calzaghe) and hard work for 12 weeks get back in shape and there are loads of avenues and big money fights. in the UK theres khan, murray, brook or jennings to start off. the he could fight judah, bradley, diaz. all fighters i have mentioned i believe hatton could win and some quite convincingly

I Like RH, but his weight has damaged him. The constant swing in weight has taken it's toll on him. He is no longer the young fighter with the fast metabolism. He actually has to harm himself to make the weight. Tough position for him.

Hatton should probably hang it up unless hes going to maybe fight Khan in a UK superfight.... but as of right now, whats the point of returning? Hes proven himself a warrior, made lots of money... but i dont see him beating

    Bradley
    Torres
    Holt
    Cotto
    Pac
    Mosley
    Margarito
    Clottey
    Berto
    Mayweather

which are the major players from 140-147, most of whome i see beating him

I can see him beating (and has already beaten some of them)

    Malignaggi
    Urango
Collazo (id take collazo in a rematch but you gotta give credit to hatton for beating him once, however close it was)

but i think its clear theres not much for him besides more punishment and losses should he continue....

well its never gonna be at 135 is it,seing as hatton is a career light welter,at 140 hatton would be a slight favourite but its a 50/50 fight at this point.

Why do people persist with this?! There's no way in hell Hatton makes 140 safely considering his current condition.

The fact is physically Hatton has been in decline for a long time, but he was never an 'A' grade fighter anyway.I do believe the Hatton up to fighting Tszyu was a problem for anyone around the weight but it has been a steady decline since.Up till then he was fighting 3,4 and 5 times a year he never really had time to balloon up in weight as he was mainly training for fights, but once he started to fight only twice a year there was ample time for that lifestyle to take over.If he comes back he could be sparked by any amount of contenders, take your pick.

Hatton's best bet would be trying to convince Cotto into a fight should he beat Pac.

that's right he is calling out floyd from what i understand.

i'll bet floyd can see the $$$ signs dancing in front of him...almost close enough to grab...at the idea of icing hatton at wembley in front of all those people w/ all the rest paying to watch on tv...

This is where I stopped laughing at your comments and started shaking my head thinking "what the **** is this idiot babbling about"

Aye Mate, I cant lead in with my head, hold, push, grab an arm and punch :huh how do you expect me to win this fight ref:patsch

yea, the ref clearly took sides. Where in Hattons shithole country they would damn near let Hatton bring brass knuckles in the ring with him and fight. . The one time he runs into a ref that wasnt having that dirty boxing ****. . he gets put on his ass.

Dont blame the ref that Hatton isnt even a blip on Mayweathers radar as far as skills go.
