Judah wasnt gonna get any benefits after the Mayweather fight, no ref would do anything more than take away points.

He did a good job in the Cotto-Clottey fight, that was just after Clottey used his gigantic head to butt Cotto something that hes done throughout his career.

One that hasn't been mentioned yet was the last Billy Dib fight. Dib knocked the guy out when he was on his knees, and then there was pretty much a riot in the ring afterwards in part because he called it a KO rather than a DQ.

hatton vs kostya by far. i doubt hatton wins if cortez is the judge. he was allowed to hold way too much.

Mercante Jr. in Whitaker - Hurtado. Dude stepped in about 4 overhand lefts too late.

Joe was up Hatton's ass way too much that night, even as Mayweather fans we could see that. Cortez has never been that far up another fighter's ass in any other fights he's ref'd. Since camp Mayweather complained so soundly about Hatton before the fight Joe had made up his mind to change the style he normally ref's and stop what he "thought" was going to happen before it actually happened. All you have to do is take a look at the Hopkins -vs- Calzaghe fight and you see Cortez allowing Bernard to do the same thing, using the same hit and hold and lead with his head style that Hatton uses all night long. No warnings, he allowed Hopkins to do this for the length of the fight. Just go back and watch it. Cortez ****ed up in the Mayweather/Hatton fight, just look at his past performances and you'll see he was not only over critical, he was intrusive and jumping the gun before any foul was committed in this particular fight. He also did a shitty job in the Soto -vs- Lorenzo fight but that's a different issue.

Worst bit of refereeing I've seen was Roger Yanez in the Alex Garcia/Bernard Benton heavyweight fight back in the early 90's. Yanez allowed Garcia to continue an assault after Benton was out cold on the ropes and did nothing to stop it, 30-some-odd punches unanswered while Benton was asleep helpess but held up by the ropes until he slumped forward looking like he was dead. :-(

Ottke-Reid by a country mile and a half, Jim Nealys commentary is hilarious, you would think this is a sketch show joke or something, if you havnt seen this you're in for a treat.

You just compared Hatton's style to Hopkin's style? Hopkins unquestionably loves the dirty boxing, but he doesn't try to molest fighters into submission. Hatton got beat because he didn't box worth a **** and he didn't have any gameplan in that fight other than "hold, hug and lean". ANd now the poor guy wants a rematch because he things it would make any difference if he had been allowed to "impose his style."
