Im pretty sure they would both beat the **** out of Wladimir Klitschko. In fact, any MMA fighter would beat a boxer. MMA fighters are real fighters. They hump each other in the ground, "penetrate"each others guard, and throw kicks and backhands and ****. Real fighting. Boxers just fight for a half hour punching each other in the face with gloves. REAL fighters get a man down and make him submit to their ground and pound. **** boxing
A good fight is a good fight. Some people will only listen to one type of music. All about choices. Do you get more out of specializing in one thing or do you miss out some where else? Both. Like I said, it is all about choice.

My son trains MMA. What does he say about punching? Most MMA guys suck? Because they have to worry about other things? No. They just suck at punching. But really, are these guys that far off from what we saw in Pascal/Froch?

I respect MMA, but when they try to go at it toe to toe. You get pretty much what the thread starter posted. Chuck Liddell was a long reigning champ and most of his wins were standing up and throw haymakers. He even gave advice to the MMA show he was in to throw windmill punches. If you want to believe that an elite boxer would lose to MMA, go right ahead. I am really impressed with the new LHW champ the Dragon, but if he stands up to go toe to toe with a prime RJJ, good night sweet prince. On the ground, what is there to say an elite boxer has no background in something else? Cintron is a champion college wrestler and I remember reading that Camacho, Sr is a blackbelt in some martial arts and then he got into boxing. Just two examples. This boxing vs MMA debate will go on forever.
I was just laughin at that clip, they just keep swinging and missing. I got nothing against MMA, i'll watch it from time to time, but i find it boring compared to boxing
I agree that all this talk about a mma fighter would destroy a boxer is bull****, fighting is all about who can fight there type of fight , if a boxer keeps the fight standing up and avoids the takedowns then it is a no contest becuse there no better fighter than an ELITE boxer, but if a mma fighter can take the boxer to the ground and keep him there then the mma guy wins , but if he can't keep the boxer on the ground then its a no conest and the boxers wins.
