for somebody just starting up a collection of dvds. what website do you guys recommend? boxingvideos.net seems to be a bit more pricey and boxingjunkies is a bit cheaper which makes me hesitant but the 2 discs(Sanchez vs Gomez, Cowdell, Ford and Arguello vs. Limon, Chacon) are actually not that bad of quality i expected worse. your thoughts?

Just got the Kostya Tszyu and Aaron Pryor career sets yesterday. I never realized how tough Tszyu was matched early in his career.

Actually two online friends hooked me up with all these sets, but from my knowledge on boxingdvddeals.com it will cost you $3 per disc. The quality is top notch from that site.

It's 3 dollars for each disc not the whole set, you can pick and choose if you want a whole set or not or if you just want certain fights, most times within a disc it will have two fights in it. Most fighters early fights tend to have at least 6 fights on them because the fights are shorter.

I have an obscene collection. What I did not amass with two VCR's decades ago was the result of trading, etc.

Our sport has some fine, hardcore fans willing to share...and for that I am forever thankful.

I have the career (or pretty much most of it of) Lennox Lewis and Holyfield. I have fights of Foreman, and I have fights of Demsey and I bought a DVD and a book on Jack Johnson called "Unforgetable Blackness"

With Johnson I enjoy looking at the time period as much as anything, and the style of how they fought. With Dempsey I was surprised at his speed, I believe it was against Firpo that he threw a left hook so fast I have to rewind and try watching it several times before I could pick it up. Lewis' speed in his youth was the biggest surprise for me, his speed never gets mentioned, and if fact many call him slow, maybe that was true when he was in his mid-late 30's but not his mid 20's. And of course Holfyfield's a warrior, who always gives it his best. Would love to have a collection of Duran and Hagler, but I find myself turning to youtube more and more. I've also downloaded a few fights off the internet. Course I also have a few Ali fights but I think everyone has those.

The Lewis fight collection was funny cause I bought it from someone from England and when I received it my DVD wouldn't play it, turns out they use a different format, and so I bought another DVD player just to watch it.

    Very little, sadly.

    Ali vs. Berbick

    The Mike Tyson ESPNC DVD.

    Marciano vs. Ali superfight.

    Ali vs. Holmes.

    Toney vs. Holyfield.

    Quarry vs. Cranmer.

  15. One of my lifes plans is to amass and conform a giant collection of careers onto a portable HD available to anyone. Although my fight library right now is at about 80-100 fights so theres a bit of work to do.
