I'm over it: a Margarito comeback would be good for boxing

Everytime the guy is brought up, 70% of posts say insightful things like "fuxk Margo," and even worse, "cheater, cheater pumpkin eater."

Whether or not the proof of him cheating is concrete (no pun intended), is not what this thread is about. He's a fun fighter to watch and regardless of how much people want to crucify him, 95% of you guys will get over it with time - especially if he comes back and gets some solid victories.

I was pissed when I first found out - mainly because there's a chance that he used illegal wraps when he took Cotto's 0. But it's been several months and boxing is a sport of second chances. I'm excited about his comeback and he creates a lot of interesting matchups at WW and JMW.

Anyone who thinks that all professional athletes are 100% clean is 100% naive. These guys are always looking to get an edge and sometimes they bend the rules a little too far and they gotta face consequences. Margo faced his and now has to get in the back of the line for matches in which he was the fruntrunner a year ago.

I'm readyfor his return and whether he's successful or not, I'll guarantee one thing: it'll be fun to watch. :good

 

Whatever he does, if he wins he'll be back in line for big fights whether people like it or not. The Mexican-American public has a lot of pull in boxing in the states because they make up so much of the market.

He should definitely pay some more dues and prove himself again before getting these fights, but 10 is a little much. After 1 or 2 fights, the demand will be strong enough to get him a big fight.
