Superb natural ability. Got into pro a bit too late, and is now being paced, but it's all good. If he can keep his head on straight, and not suffer from overconfidence he can rule for quite some time. At least till father time does a Roy Jones jnr on him.
Sooner or later, his speed and propensity to keep his hands low is going to catch up at the worst time. A lot of guys at 126 can punch.
I think it will be exciting while it lasts. I think we will see him move into the p4p lists next year. But at some stage he will get ko'd. He fights with a 'I'll knock you out or I'll be knocked out' attitude. Which pleases us but will be his downfall.

Gamboa looked great last time out. Very fast, very powerful, not much to like about him. His chin is fine. Most of his KDs are from his aggression and him being off balance. Gamboa has the potential to become one of the best ever at Featherweight.
A knockout waiting to happen as soon as he stops fighting leftovers from Valero and Linares in title fights. Once he gets his version of Mtagwa he'll end up KTFO because at least JuanMa Lopez had a good chin despite shitty defense and gameplan.
