Cotto blasts Vargas & El Gato Figueroa!

    When adv about Vargas picking Pacquiao and making comments such as Cotto not beign a good enough fighter to handle Pacquiao... Cotto Responded:

    Vargas Who? Oh, he is not in any position to give us any type of advice so we will not pay attention to him.

    When asked about El Gato Figueroa who recently made headlines about him being booted from Cotto Camp.....

    He was here for a little while but he didnt work like we like to work. We work seriously, we take training seriously and I dont like sparring partners who like to clown around on the ring and be showoff's. Sparring partners are here to give me work, to give me good solid work and not just play around with your hands on your weist and play around, make jokes ext.. There are two types of fighters; ones who like to show off in sparring and ones who actually show off with their skills in fights. El Gato Figueroa is one who likes to show off in sparring :hey

    On another Spanish Articles, Cotto made it clear that Roach's mind games are not getting to him. He states that on Nov. 14th; Roach will be reminded of them and he will recognize on that day that the fight was between Miguel Cotto vs. Manny Pacquiao... not Cotto vs. Pacquiao + Roach. Trainers are to train and not try to gain spotlight attention.

    Roach talks because Manny can't and if there's going to be any trash talking going on it's better that the trash isn't coming out of a living legend / man-god that is Manny Pacquiao. This obsession with Roach being a glory hound needs to stop, he's doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing.

    And it's very interesting what Cotto has to say about El Gato that he was a show-off and not serious, since Figueroa was saying he was giving Cotto good work and everybody liked him. Somebody's got a deluded self image.

    Roach and Mayweather, Sr are the only ones who love the attention. The fighters either respect each other and take it to the ring or talk trash to build the fight even more. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Who cares about El Gato. Two sides to a story, but again, who cares. I can't wait for this fight and may the best man win.

    Although Cotto doesnt like to admit it, I think Roach's comments and the general public's comments are getting to him.....

    This is a good thing in my humble opinion...... the same thing happened when he fought Quintana. Everyone in Puerto Rico was against Cotto, he was blasting people then too...lol and look at the performance he put up.

    Vargas was much, much bigger than Cotto! I'd be surprised if he didn't win. But He was pretty chinny himself, so you never know.

    What's up with him. He started talking **** also at Camacho, Jr. event. He should just lose that extra 200 pounds and get back in the ring or just keep his mouth shut about other fighters. I think that Trinidad beat down is still lingering in his mind so that is why he maybe harassing these PR fighters.

    You must be smoking crack....that is not good for you! Fernando Vargas is not even half the fighter than Cotto is and everyone knows that.

    I don't think the comments are "getting" to him in a bad way. More like how you describe how he dealt w/ Quintana. I dunno, this could be bad for Pacman! Cotto would love to shut Roach up, prove everyone wrong, and take out Arum's cash cow Pac. Don't think he has anything against Pac, Pac might just happen to be the one who pays for it. Not sure about who will win yet.

    there is two diffrent Vargas, fight whit Ike Quartey was fernandos best performance, showed her's best skills that night.
    and after Trinidad fight it was all downhill for vargas.

    Those who think Cotto would beat prime Vargas without a doubt are either new to the sport or nuthuggers..

    I love Cotto.. and I hope he beats Manny.. but lets keep it real..
