Roach talks because Manny can't and if there's going to be any trash talking going on it's better that the trash isn't coming out of a living legend / man-god that is Manny Pacquiao. This obsession with Roach being a glory hound needs to stop, he's doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing. And it's very interesting what Cotto has to say about El Gato that he was a show-off and not serious, since Figueroa was saying he was giving Cotto good work and everybody liked him. Somebody's got a deluded self image.
Roach and Mayweather, Sr are the only ones who love the attention. The fighters either respect each other and take it to the ring or talk trash to build the fight even more. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Who cares about El Gato. Two sides to a story, but again, who cares. I can't wait for this fight and may the best man win.
Although Cotto doesnt like to admit it, I think Roach's comments and the general public's comments are getting to him..... This is a good thing in my humble opinion...... the same thing happened when he fought Quintana. Everyone in Puerto Rico was against Cotto, he was blasting people then too...lol and look at the performance he put up.
Vargas was much, much bigger than Cotto! I'd be surprised if he didn't win. But He was pretty chinny himself, so you never know.
What's up with him. He started talking **** also at Camacho, Jr. event. He should just lose that extra 200 pounds and get back in the ring or just keep his mouth shut about other fighters. I don't think the comments are "getting" to him in a bad way. More like how you describe how he dealt w/ Quintana. I dunno, this could be bad for Pacman! Cotto would love to shut Roach up, prove everyone wrong, and take out Arum's cash cow Pac. Don't think he has anything against Pac, Pac might just happen to be the one who pays for it. there is two diffrent Vargas, fight whit Ike Quartey was fernandos best performance, showed her's best skills that night. and after Trinidad fight it was all downhill for vargas.
Those who think Cotto would beat prime Vargas without a doubt are either new to the sport or nuthuggers.. I love Cotto.. and I hope he beats Manny.. but lets keep it real..
