I'm over it: a Margarito comeback would be good for boxing

im sure cotto will have no problem fighting margarito again and blast em out of the ring ofcourse thats if he can i havent heard cotto screaming for remach :hey

I really have to laugh at some people! They act like all types of infractions are the same. The SOB did not get caught with excessive holding or to much vasiline on his face. This guy attempted to do the most taboo offense in boxing because it takes the life and well being of his foe in his hands. a few quick points:

1) loading gloves doess not equal illegal wrapping does not equal controlled substances does not equal holding.

2) if the actions of AM, took on that night against SSM, happened outside of the boxing world he could be facing criminal charges.

3) a precedent for loading gloves has already been set just a few months earlier when a South African boxer was banned for life.

I dont think he would be good for boxing especially if he loses badly because it will just make him look even more like a cheater because it will look like he cant win without the plaster.....and that will give to much bad press to our sport.

so if it was no worse than why would a boxer get banned for doing it . . . THINK about it!

 

I'm saying alot of people criticize margarito for doing it,but trinidad was the first boxing superstar to get exposed doing it and nobody said nothing then,i think margarito should still get thrown in the welterweight mix. Cotto needs to redeem himself against margarito in order to get rid of that ghost that haunts him in the ring,so who u gonna call ghostbuster,aka pacman,just ask de la hoya,morales,barrera and hatton,because pacman got rid of all their ghosts,now its cotto's turn.

sug3 are you really SERIOUS? you really do not understand the difference between illegal wrap hands (with extra gauze and tape) and and loaded gloves (plaster of paris)? One word . . . WOW!

At least he has never ducked anyone in the division for whatever reason. Can't say the same for Shane, Floyd, and Cotto.

 

Who needs to duck when you have loaded gloves.

No, he shouldn't be allowed to fight ever again. Lifetime ban imo, what he did was wrong. Whose to say how much long term damage Cotto took from them loaded gloves.
