Ike Quartey, Cotto has NEVER beat a fighter as good as Ike, and no Mosley is a shell of what he was in his prime, and it was a contreversial win for Cotto.

Obviously you didn't see Vargas in his prime, he wasn't a brawler, he was a smooth Boxer Puncher.

Cottos mind set is where it should be, and I like what he said regarding his expectations of sparring partners... They are not there to play or go easy they are there for a reason and usally those guys are getting paid, so as a prize fighter going into a fight this big sparring partners should be giving you your moneys worth..

This Vargas beats Cotto argument is really irrelevant. Vargas was an elite fighter and bigger than Cotto the logical answer is that he would indeed beat Cotto in their primes, but they're not even in the same weight class. It's like bringing the argument that a MMA fighter would beat a boxer fighting, so MMA is the better sport... pointless. Vargas picked Mosley over Cotto and he was wrong, nothing wrong with him giving his opinion. Now regarding the article I find it very interesting that they kicked out Figueroa and honestly, Cotto's sparring selection worries me.
