Sounds good. Got to be honest, I'm not too familiar with these guys. You know much, or anything we can look for from them tonight?

    Ouch.

Although some might not've made the connection, that same Al Seeger is also the guy who killed Benjamin Flores (RIP) in his last fight. It'll be interesting to see how much or how little that affects him this time out.

Hernandez has competed at a much higher level Frias has fought limited opponents should be an easy outing for Hernandez.

Al Seeger vs Fonseca should be a good fight I like the younger Fonseca this guy comes to fight and he Wins today...

Freddy Hernandez is your classic archetypal Mexican body whacker. He's got the same build/type/reach as Soto Karass and Margarito but nowhere near the killer instinct of either. He allowed Nito Bravo of all people to bully him around and general the ring for much of their fight (El Riel won a wide UD).

Damian Frias is, by turn, your classic archetypal Cuban slickster with fast hands. He's a few years older but has been pro a few years less than Hernandez and has 10 fewer fights. Just conjecture on my part but I'm willing to bet he was a seasoned amateur before defecting. He's giving up some paper advantages on the tale of the tape, but I think his speed will overwhelm the very basic Hernandez.

Both men are aware of breast cancer.

Victor Fonseca is a scrawny bag of bones but looks to have some wiry strength. He's your basic plate of southpaw ham-and-eggs. Well-schooled but nothing spectacular other than a nice double right hook. He recently stuck a fork in poor old Rey Lopez after Jhonny Gonzalez softened him up and stunted his Cinderella-man momentum from popping Mike Oliver's cherry. I still don't consider him a dangerous puncher (which along with a swarmer style is his opponent's poison...)

Elusive and somewhat chinny boxer Al Seeger is coming off a tumultuous rough patch - after a near 30-month winning streak he ran into a brick wall, getting roughed up by a pre-Lopez Daniel Ponce De Leon, returning over a year later to lose a decision to the aforementioned Oliver, then taking another nine months off before Yuriorkis Gamboa smashed him in a round. Since then he's registered a victory but hardly a joyous triumph - he pounded out a TKO victory over Benjamin Flores who underwent brain surgery and died shortly thereafter. He was allegedly slotted as Israel Vazquez's return opponent this summer in what would have been a very intriguing match but Vazquez camp insiders have since maintained this was never really even close to being signed.

They too are aware of breast cancer. And Al gives it a thumbs up.

Opposition to date is not the only consideration. :nono

Hernandez could well win; I'm tentatively picking Frias to edge out just a split decision. Styles make fights, for the most part. Frias could be soft in the middle, as you say he hasn't faced any really stiff tests so we just don't know...a Hernandez TKO wouldn't shock me.

I don't know, depends largely on where Seeger's head is at. He's never been the calmest fighter in the ring and he's been on an emotional rollercoaster now for years. He's certainly more talented than Fonseca but that may not matter.

    Thanks IB.

Honestly, I'd have given up Cloud - Woods for another month or two of regular ass FNF. You almost have to be a sleuth these days to know anything about prospects who aren't blue chippers.
