he's talking about Cotto v Vargas..

for some reason he thinks because they are/were both P4P that it would be a fair match up..

Despite the fact that Vargas was P4P at 154..

his IQ must be below par..

How so when he lost to all three, and was knocked the **** out in two of those fights.....

Vargas was a good B+ fighter in his prime, but that was about as high as you can rate him.... all the big fights he lost even the Winky Wright fight he lost....

Vargas always had a questionable chin, I started to take notice of this when he fought Clark on the Lewis Holyfield undercard.... Ike and Winky confirmed it, DLH and Tito exposed it....

He has alot of heart fought like a warrior but he lacked true boxing skills which is why he tops out at a B+ fighter in his prime rather than an A+ fighter in his prime.....

Vargas was B+ level at his best. He never one the big fights that he should have. He was proven B+ by Trinidad, De La Hoya, and even Mosley. If he would have beat even one of those I would rank him higher, but he never did. Cotto I believe the verdict is still out on him, right now he is at a crucial time in his career and with many questions still to be answered. He is good, but can he be great?

Cotto knows who Vargas is, dont be ignorant. He simply is saying that what other people say outside his camp and this fight doesn't really matter to him. Cotto and Pac are two of the best gentleman you will find in the sport today.

Varga lost Almost every big fight he was in in he was like a Jermain Taylor at 154.

    A punching bag.

    He was a decent fighter.

And his opinion is completely bias and irrelevant.

Face to face in the primes.

I could see a great fight Vargas's hands are little slow and isn't active enough to tire Cotto.

I see Cotto countering him all night. But having troubles with the long jab.

Because of Vargas's size he stays on his feet. UD Cotto

I am convinced that the low blows took a lot out of Vargas against Tito. Going into the 10th rd it was dead even, but the nut shots took their toll and Vargas had no legs.

It would have been JMM vs Pac, where one fighters gets decked more than one in round 1 but comes back to OUTBOX the other. Unfortunate for Vargas, by the time the 10th round came around, he had no legs to help him move.

I had Vargas winning against Winky, but I can also score it for Winky, depending on what I look at, it was that close of a fight, but nevertheless, not even Mosley in TWO attempts or even Trinidad were able to do that good against Winky. Think about that.

Oscar beat Vargas ONLY because he was a suprior boxer puncher, remember Oscar schooled Tito, that's how good Oscar was even towrads the end of his prime.

Vargas no doubt was elite, and was on par with Winky, ODLH, Mosley, and Tito.

You could say that but you have to remember he was dropped twice and was taking some shots prior to the low blow, the low blow did come after Tito was dropped it seemed Vargas had the momentum However it was a flash knock down Titos legs were under him.....

I think the legs of Vargas were shakey from the knock downs early on in the fight...... He would not have beat Tito even with out the low blows...
what everybody forgets is Vargas himself went low in that fight and lost a point because of it.....

There was one shot Tito did go way south of the border on the other one that he was taken a point from was some bull**** acting played out by Vargas and Kathy Duva ringside.....

Dude, you sound angry, chill out. Vargas' skill level wasn't on par with Trinidad's or ODLH's, hence why he lost. Now maybe if he wasn't thrown in with Trinidad so early, his career could have been different and he could have even been greater that Trinidad. BUT, he didn't, so your comment does amount to anything im afraid. Im basing this on the competition Cotto has BEAT, no matter how close.

And the Margarito loss is questionable.

    In regards to Figueroa....

I recently friended him on facebook and asked what his prediction was for the fight and this is what he said to me:

Im picking pac man cotto kick me out for bull crap I felt i was frustrating him but who know that gives him no right to kick me out if that is what it is cause I can assure you he wasnt busting my ass ;-)

I get the sense that he still seems pretty annoyed about getting booted from Camp Cotto. This will probably really **** him off.

Vargas wasnt at all disrespectful when picking Pac, and so far i havnt seen anything disrespectful from cotto to varg, just saying basically well, whatever.
