I mean, if not retire at least vacate the belts for the sake of the sport. This is probably the weakest division in boxing and nothing can move before these belts are vacated. If he plans on returning next year thats great, he'll be pleasantly welcomed, but the sport moves on. 2 defenses in 2 years doesn't cut it

 

You know, I hope Pavlik recovers from this and gets back into the ring next year. But at the same time, I am really disgusted that he wasted Paul Williams' time the way he did. He obviously wasn't going to be in any kind of condition to fight in December. Why put everyone through all the "announcements"?

Pussied out against Williams who I actually thought Pavlik would beat.

Pavlik is about as relevant in boxing as Anthony Mundine. Pavlik should be stripped of his titles and forced to work his way back up the rankings.

At the end of the day, if Pavlik was in the Super6 he would be odds on to finish 5-6th possibly ahead of Taylor..maybe. Thats why he didnt enter. He's not an elite fighter, Hopkins showed us that...and now Kelly himself has shown that hes not a real fighter at all.
