few things. Fair play to Rhodes. I thought he performed better in orthodox tonight, no surprise that once he stayed there he did better. Moore looked massive. Lovely stoppage and the last round was one of the best Ive seen all year.
perhaps moore wasn't prepared for the fight to go beyond a few rounds. after the first couple i really didn't think rhodes wouldbe capable of hurting moore.
Moore has never been more than Eiropean level. I love to watch the guy fight but he's always been fighting at the right level. He was never going to be world class.
Rhodes is one hell of a boxing story!!!!!!!! Fair play to him, didnt think he could pull that off after the first few rounds. That 1st KD shot was a beauty
Amazing advert for British boxing! So happy that Rhodes pulled that one out the bag, Moore is hard as nails though to get up from that KD and then fight back in the way he did. Hopefully The Spice Boy is gonna get the world title he deserves in the twilight of his career!
Moore was careless to get KO'd like that. He'd recovered well, was strong enough to be in full control of that round and he just let himself get completely squared up and open to a shot. He shoulda just saw out that round sensibly.
Rhodes would not be denied. The way he took those shots from Moore just before the end said it all. A look of defiance across his face. Must say as well, glad Rhodes won because before the fight Moore said deep down Rhodes knew he couldnt win the fight.
Rhodes also made Watt look like a complete dick again. Trying the Mayweather routine would have knackered him out.
I was only having a laugh but yeah he should have tried to tie him up but I think it would have delayed the inevitable he was looking weak in there after the first 5 rounds.
