I would agree with that. If wlad continues to win and dominate and grabs more belts over the next 5 years then I think you have a good case for top 15 after he retires you would be talking about 65+ fights with 62+ wins and 20+ title defences.... that would be top 15 to me

    Mind if I chime in?

    1. Irrelevant, who has he beaten that's any good?
    2. He isn't, but he's certainly not as fast as Tillis, or as accurate nor does he have as good punch variety, footwork. Tillis was a better boxer than Vitali. Note that I say boxer not fighter, Vitali is better than Tillis was, but only because he is bigger and stronger. Tyson was tailor made to fight bigger guys and faster more skillful, more accurate boxers than Vitali found him very difficult to hit clealy.
    4. See above, Tyson was one of the all time great punch slippage-masters (had to think for a sec to avoid calling him a slipper)

I personally think Rooney era Tyson beats vitali on points. I think Tyson was too good at slipping punches, had footwork which was far too good for Vitali to keep him in the centre of the ring and too much of a speed advantage for Vitali to pile up points. It would be a good fight as Vitali is a very tough guy and a very good fighter in his own right but....see above.
Actually I think Wlad is stylistically a far tougher match for Tyson as he is schooled in spoiling and is a lot more inclined to spoil, were it not for the punch resistance factor. As it is I would have no doubt that Tyson would ko Wlad assuming they were each at their best, meaning not a well below par Douglas fight version of Tyson.
FTR after much flip flopping over the years, I think a pre-King Tyson knocks Lewis out too and beats Holyfield on points. I think Holy would always be the toughest match for Tyson out of the 90's 'big three' and that Bowe would actually be easiest for him since he was so easy to hit and willing to trade.

Vitali doesnt hold a win over one guy that any of the consensus top 10 Heayweights wouldn't have beaten.

What we're missing is fights in the Heavyweight division like the one in your avatar. That was a great one.
