    Round 5
Frias throws five punches in the first minute and misses five (one, a single jab, sort of grazes Hernandez - meanwhile Frias' ribs are taking a gentle pounding). Frias jabs and Hernandez throws a lead right past it. They repeat a few times. Frias not able to get close enough to even think about a power punch. The height and reach are really becoming evident difference makers. Hernandez has found his ideal range and is settling into a water-pump rhythm with his underhand body attack.

    10-9 Hernandez

    Round 6
Hernandez still busy. Frias emerging from his shell and showing some aggression but in spurts. A minute and a half into the round he lands a huge left hand but doesn't put anything behind it. Frias attempts a rope-a-dope; Hernandez doesn't take the bait, content to wing pitty-pat punches from safety to lure Frias back into center ring. Frias tries to touch Hernandez' body but can't quite reach it.

    10-9 Hernandez

The straight left is wide open for Frias but he's content to jab and defend for too much of each round. Lands several, solo and behind the jab - but spread out over the course of two minutes. Hernandez meanwhile is throwing lots of arm punches as usual but missing more than in previous rounds. Frias lands three jabs to the chin while backing up.

    Frias 10-9

Again the left hand lands flush and hard. Again, it is not immediately followed by anything. Hernandez not even taking advantages of headhunting opportunities with Frias' hands low - in love with his body attack. Pretty close round.

I'll say Frias 10-9 only because his couple of lefts early landed cleaner than any of Hernandez' body taps.

Frias getting walked around the ring, producing virtually nothing but a jab (occasionally tripled up but not sizzling). Hernandez lands to both sides of the ribcage for a good fifteen seconds straight.

    Hernandez 10-9

I was just thinking, he's not a welterweight, and a bit Paulie-esque in his punch delivery.

    Round 10
Frias comes out strong. Surprises Hernandez with a thudding hook. Begins to string together power punches for the first time in the fight. Frias stuns him with a straight. Mouthpiece comes out. Ref calls time out at 1:57 to restore it. Frias jumps back on him. Hernandez gets him in a powerbomb grab. Ref says no no no. Frias trying to find a spot. Running out of time. He could KO Hernandez in this round if he can get close and land a sequence. Wastes time standing in front of Hernandez looking for an opening. Hernandez wisely tying up at every chance. Hernandez paws a jab at him and Frias just stares him down.

    Frias 10-9

Hernandez should win a comfortable decision.

    that break saved Hernandez

8-2 for Hernandez on my card

Frias goes defensive for 9 rounds but offensive in the 10th and almost got the KO
