This should be an intriguing match up. One of the fastest, talented (somewhat inactive) pure boxers in the game versus a rangy, good boxer/puncher with a huge size advantage.

Will Guzman be able to get in to his range and get out without getting tagged?

Will his relative inactivity and age finally catch up to him?

I for one am personally torn between the two. Guzman is giving up 6 inches of height and 5 in reach. He may think he's out of range but end up getting popped with jabs all night.

    Hmmm....

I say Guzman in a hotly contested, maybe controversial SD.

    What are your thoughts?

All I will say is that I will not bet against Funeka. Funeka made me a fan after his fight with Campbell. This should be a good fight

Guzman hits his wife, so there shouldn't be to much ringrust.

Guzman will outclass him. Funeka is good but Guzman should be hungry (hopefully in the right way) for this given past disapointments.

Guzman's speed and elusiveness should carry the day. Funeka is slower than him and a lot more basic, but I think he's underrated and may just surprise us.

Funika wins this. I was impressed by Funagga's performance against Campbell and I think that Guzman lacks the workrate and hunger of Funegga. People so often forget how difficult it is, if you're a skilled boxer who likes to fight on the outside, to beat a tall boxer with skills like Funehega.

As juanitoboxing pointed out, you shouldn't bet against Funikikipotangnee-wong.

I was very impressed with Funeka. I just thing hes kinda of Chinny. I also think Guzman is really good. He actually broke my top 10pfp briefly.

I'd have to watch and re score the Campbell fight. If I remember correctly, I had Fushnickens pulling out a draw, even with the knockdowns. I expect him to make this a very competitive fight.

I had Campbell winning by a point, I think, but take away the knockdowns (and let's face it, Guzman isn't knocking down Funuggia) and Funoka would have won. There were also a lot of rounds that I could have maybe scored for Funelia.

I think Funeka has the style to beat Guzman. Guzman has too much of a size disadvantage and not enough power to gain Funeka's respect.

Campbell looked awful against Bradley, thats put one or two doubts in my mind about just how good this version of Campbell is, and whether losing a close decision to him is really something as meaningful as it appeared at the time. And Juan Diaz just stood in the pocket with Nate Campbell which played into his hands. I don't know, I think Guzman is a different class.

The height difference is always a concern though, especially with woeful power.

I wouldn't say Guzman's been exactly stellar over the last 3 years either, on the few occasions he's actually got into the ring. Unless Guzman's speed turns out to be a very big factor, I don't see how he can win this. He has absolutely no inside game and keeps his hands down at range.

It be an interesting fight. I could see Guzman vs Funeka be like Guzman vs Soto. If Guzman fights seriously without too many showboating i see him outboxing Funeka.
