Maybe this is why hes trying to **** Belfort ? I read an interview where he is pissed off and feels betrayed that Vitor is fighting him. The guy is in his mind betrayed by Wanderlei coming to 185, betrayed by Vitor beating top contenders and being next in line to fight for a CHAMPIONSHIP and he doesnt feel Henderson is worthy of a rematch and wont fight Machida. This guy is turning into a Mayweather.

Silva always cuts from 220 or there abouts, I though that was well known.:huh

And regarding Belfort, I think Brazilians have this thing whereby switching training camps etc and fighting a guy who you trained with before is seen as a big betrayal and they get pissed off about it, hence Silva is pissed with him. Not to mention the fact that Belfort doesn't deserve a shot at the MW title.

Now why exactly doesnt he ? Belfort KTFO Franklin the former Champ just 10 pounds above the weight, nearly killed Lindland who was long considered to be a top 3 Middleweight, hes explosive and powerful and dangerous to Silva. If it aint him then its Hendo or Marquardt both whom he feels dont deserve rematches.

****ing exactly guys get title shots when Dana wants them to so theres no use arguing over it especially when the guy is Vitor Belfort. Silva is just trying to cherry pick so he wants nothing to do with Henderson or Marquardt because they arent worthy and Wanderlei and Vitor are backstabbers and Machida is his buddy. So I guess we get to see another Leites or Cote :happy

He should be happy to have a chance to fight vs Belfort while he is on a hot streak. I mean people always discredit Silva because he dont fight good striker, well, Belfort is a very good striker and that would be a great name to put on his resume..
I can't say Silva is scared of Belfort, but I don't understand why he doesnt want that fight

Firstly, I'll make it clear that I do think that Silva should just shut up and fight these guys.

But Belfort hasn't fought at middleweight in the UFC since god knows when and by that reasoning shouldn't deserve a shot at the UFC MW title. His only win in his comeback to the UFC was at LHW against a LHW. Of course it doesn't always work like that but still whatever.

IMO both Marquardt and Hendo are more deserving of a shot. Of course then there's the problem that both of them were beaten easily by Silva before. The UFC are in a tough spot with their MW division. Silva has all but destroyed the best competition and then they thought they'd take the **** and give him dud opponents like Cote and Leites. Silva then basically turned around and told them to give him good opponents or **** off. Instead they should have done their best to promote guys like Akiyama and Okami who are legitmate opponents and get them in a position for a title shot.

I like the fact that Silva always says that other fighters don't deserve a title shot including Belfort and even Shogun. Yet he fails to remember he received one after one win

I can tell you from Brazilians I know they are very prideful and tend to stick together, so if Beltfort did indeed come from the same training camp, I could see how he would consider it somewhat of a insult, just as if he would consider him coming from the same neighborhood or school so to speak... I have a feeling at this point of his career Silva doesn't like fighting fellow Brazilians, as confirmation look at the Leites fight. I think it honestly affects his 'mental' game in the fight and isn't as vicious as he could be.

What you talking bout Willis? :huh How many old NBA PG's you know look blown up like that? Anyway Silva is 6ft 1. He's prolly around 220 and he's not that muscular a dude. No problem there at all.
