And beating a paper-champion at 135, and Mayweather left-overs in a now B level Ricky Hatton and shot, drained De La Hoya does? At least Mayweather did something Pac never could and beat Marquez decisively.

Oh mean, like when Mayweather said that Gatti (RIP) is a chump and beat him? LMAO! Hatton was shot after he took that left hook from Pac. If Mayweather fought that drained Hoya, the result will be the same. A split decision. Oh did you know that Pacquiao dominated Hoya and Hatton, which Mayweather failed to do. :hey

Pacman being the # 1 p4p means as much as Marquez being the # 2 p4p.

Yeah, Gatti was finished. And who are you kidding? Mayweather dominated Hatton for a far longer period than Pacquiao did, he made him look like a B level fighter in there and then knocked him out. Hatton than came-back with a shaky win against a finished Juan Lazcano and was rocked in that fight, and even got stunned by Malignaggi at one point, and was getting outlanded whenenver Paulie circled and used his jab, which was not very often. Mayweather fought a younger, more stabilized-at-the-weight version of De La Hoya than Pacquiao, one that could actually throw punches.

The SD was rubbish, Mayweather took a clear 8-4 decision in my eyes, although I think he adopted the wrong gameplan early on in laying against the ropes and letting Oscar jab away. The version Pac fought hadn't made 147 for 8 years, and ****ed up making the weight so bad that he made 145 by accident and come fight night Pac was the bigger man in the ring, he was in such a bad condition he had fresh IV marks where they had to rehydrate him through an injection.

h2h i see mayweather beating pac, but pac has earned his place. if floyd wants it back, he must EARN it back, like champions do. If Joe Calzaghe un-retired he wouldn't automically reclaim the lhw title, he would have to beat the Dawson-Johnson winner for it, or BHop 'again'. That's how it works.

Mughalmirza, let me ask you one question: if former HW champ Lennox Lewis came out of retirement and dominated a, say, a blown up Chad Dawson - would that make him the HW champ again? No, it would be an impressive feat, but Wladimir Klitschko would still be the HW champ, right?
Now if Lennox Lewis came out of retirement to beat Vitali Klitschko (again), he would rightfully be regarded as the HW champ - but not if he beat a blown up LHW, no matter how good he was.

    Get it?

LOL I'm not kidding anyone. You're kidding yourself.

Mayweather had to result to using his elbow to beat Hatton. B-class! The lineal champion is a B-level. Since Mayweather fought Hatton at 147, which Hatton said he was uncomfortable in that weight. Hatton said he felt good at 140 but Pac killed him! Here watch this:

this is how Mayweather won. If you call that dominance. Mayweather beat Hatton on the canvas on the 10th. Pacquiao put him out cold in less than 6 mins.:bbb:bbb

And LOL at you for implying that Hoya from Mayweather is way better.

Anyway, fact is Pacquiao is number 1 and Mayweather become number 2 from beating a bloated lightweight.

Floyd is unblemished while Pac isn't. Floyd is far more skilled than PAc, and has never taken a 10 count. the only reason PAc's fans are sticking to Ring mag is because they are the only people who think Pac is best pfp lol... The living and breathing world knows that Floyd has not lost, and that PAc has been knocked senseless TWICE, and that you can't lose your pfp best status on a retirement they all knew wouldn't last lol...

So this is not enough evidence to say Floyd is so-called pfp best?

    birth name: Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquiao

It's why Floyd gave Castillo a rematch because Floyd didn't dismantle Castillo in their first fight:good.

The title of the thread can only be true theoretically, meaning that he is the best fighter in the world, which is down to opinion. In terms of a list then technically speaking he shouldn't be at the top of one right now. He probably is the best though but Pacquiao might be. It should get cleared up anyway and then there'll be a definitive numero uno.

Mayweather is the best. He can make any fighter look normal. I dont no how he is not ranked no.1 cos last time i checked he was no.1 b4 he retired and pac was not even being considered as the best. It was undisputed. He retires and pac basically becomes no.1 by default, and then he comes bak and totaly outclasses one of the classiest fighters in the game, the man who many believe ,including myself, beat pac twice.

Pac beat a drunken overtrained Hatton and a drained old man Oscar, next thing you know the whole worlds saying YEAH PAC P4P!!! Fair enough Floyds resume aint exactly on par with a Ray Robinson, but PBF is too big and intellegent for Pac!! The intellengent promoters make it seem like they are P4P but they have chosen there fights VERY wisely!

    Of course OIMHO
