so what? That was a long time ago, we're talking about who is P4P #1 fighter in the world NOW. Many greats of the past had some losses early in their careers. These losses are overrated, they don't matter as to where Pacquiao should be rated TODAY.

Plus we know that Floyd Mayweather, with all due respect, is not really undefeated. Castillo beat him. But it's not a big deal either as to where he should be rated today.

Pac -> P4P no. 1 until something substantial occurs on the part of either him or Mayweather

#1 will be determined by the results of Pac/Cotto.

LMAO ***LLEGE!! Funny shiet! You really are a clown! Ali, Robinson, and all the great from the pass have losses!
FACT is Pacquiao #1, Mayweather #2 for beating the best lightweight! What a ******!

Thanks for reminding everyone that Pacquiao has lost 15 years ago and he's still beating good boxers not a bloated lightweight.

Last time i cheked floyd beat castillo twice and lets not forget it was a prime castillo who not many people wud even jump in the ring with and he skooled hatton and KOd him with one of the best left hooks iv seen. If ur not a fan dats ok its just ur opinion but u have to give floyd credit. He sure made the likes of corrales, judah, hernandez and marquez look normal.

Thats bull**** because even before Mayweather retired I remember many considered Paquiao to be P4P #1.
Mayweather beats guys he knows he can beat, MP takes risks and fights people who can beat him.I would still consider him #1 even if he lost to Cotto. At least untill Mayweather beats a legit opponent like SSM or PW.

The ring and NOT every other writer had Mayweather no.1.

  13. Mayweather is without a doubt the best fighter out there. If anyone beats him it'll be by knocking him out with a lucky punch. No way he gets outboxed, ouclassed or even outworked. When the going gets tough, Mayweather starts trading shots with his opponents. He's the best. There's no denying that.

Floyd is the best boxer in the world right now. People can try to rationalize ways Pacquiao "holds that title" based on Floyd's inactivity, or however they want, but what cannot be denied is that Floyd is the best.
