Froch 10 - 9 (Not much happen, some good straight rights and jabs to the stomach from Froch eye catching flurry - shades this one) Froch 10 - 9 (More of the same, decent bodywork, few grazing jabs landing, Dirrell running - Froch shades it) 20 - 18 Froch Froch 10 - 9 (Dirrell's best round so far, nice bodywork from both, both landed a big punch each, very close in terms of punches landed, Froch's aggression shades it) 30 - 27 Froch Dirrell 10 - 9 Very sharp from Dirrell, Froch didn't get near him, sharp straight lefts from Dirrell all through the round. Lots of running from Dirrell, ***** tactics, but effective tactics. 39 - 37 Froch Dirrell 10 - 9 Froch nowhere near him again. 48 - 47 Froch Froch 10 - 9 Finally got to him properly in this round. Dirrell looks flustered. Embarrassing round this for Dirrell, get hitting the floor for no real reason. 58 - 56 Froch Dirrell 10 - 9 Dirrell takes it just, nearly lost it in the last minute by moaning rather than fighting. 67 - 66 Froch Froch 10 - 9 Nothing round, Froch steals it in the last minute again. 77 - 65 Froch Froch 10 - 9 Yet another nothing round, Froch landing jabs, couple of big punches in there, warned for punching to the back of the head, but Dirrell's bending below the waist? 87 - 84 Froch Dirrell 9 - 9 Dirrell deducted a point, bit harsh. Nice check hook by him in this round. Big left from Dirrell as well, couple of fast rights. Big left by Dirrell!! Froch 96 - 93 Dirrell 10 - 9 Best round of the fight for Dirrell, finally opened up and beat Froch easily. Froch 105 - 103 Dirrell 10 - 9 Dirrell says he lost this round, I disagree. Landed the much better punches again. Froch 114 - 113 Dirrell Dirrell was the better fighter and could have won much more comfortably if he'd fought a smarter, more aggressive fight. But Froch did win, lots of nothing rounds that he took, all the big rounds went to Dirrell.
I just watched it again, I'd say no. They were very close and I think Froch stole them with jabs/straight rights to the body.
Each to their own, I guess. Thanks for your thoughts, but I'll have to personally disagree with your scorecard this time :good
Just rewatched it myself. I'd probally give it Dirrell by a wider margin than I originally scored it. Froch is a KO waiting to happen.
Id agree. When Dirrel won rounds he won them big. But there was too much running which meant that Froch shaded the close rouds through agression and persistence. I gave Froch the fight first time and again second time. Coincidentally Claude Abrams scored the fight for Froch quite comfortably as well i saw in boxing news...
Why anyone would voluntarily subject themself to a second viewing of that **** is beyond me. Worst perfomance in a world title fight I have ever seen.
