Those were HORRID decisions, particularly in the Ruiz fight where Golota scored two knockdowns, landed more punches and Ruiz lost another point for some illegal tactic - and yet somehow Golota didn't get the decision. Clearly, King wanted his cheating stooge to win.

Well, if this news comes from Joecool, it must be true. Golota should have done this a long time ago but his Golotards won't allow him.

    Not true.

I stated repeatedly that the perfect time for him to call it a career was after the Mollo win.

THAT was the time he should have retired. I wished he had then, and I still wish he had now.

    But he didn't.

It was everything about him that was intriguing...you'd really like to get to know the guy, so you could maybe help him somehow become what he could have.

Don't tell me about where the time has gone. Whats the old Polish saying about getting old?

"Sta duch near ra duch"...is how it kinda sounds. I can't write in Polish.

    Mad respect for the man.

It's just that nobody wins against father time.

Dude... a lot was wrong with that (his craziness). It robbed him of what were going to be his two biggest wins where he was winning comfortably and who knows what else he could have done. So there was a lot wrong with it.

Golota beat the crap out of Bowe, caused Bowe to retire. It's a shame Golota never lived up to his ability.

I agree with you Rummy, he definitely went down like a warrior in his last few fights even though he did not have it in him anymore, he was getting hammered by Adamek but was not giving up

Now I know we all hope this is the last fight for AG, but one of the Polish announcers during the fight said that Riddick Bowe offered a 3rd fight....what do u thing about AG taking this as the final fight...

God! I have to admit it....

If he can go out either by BEATING Bowe or getting DQ'd for low blows, it would be a STORY BOOK ENDING!

    :rofl:patsch:lol:

I am late to the party here, but he was clearly an A level talent. He could have beaten Bowe twice if he had just kept his cool, and he should have wins on his record against Byrd and Ruiz. The fact that he was capable of beating these men, and never mind some of his other quit jobs, means that he was an A level talent.

Where is the source on this? Have not found anything official on the internet.

Hope it is true though. The big man should have hung them up years ago.

Watching yesterdays fight I just felt... bad, watching him lose in such a fashion, and letting all the haters who never saw his talent get one last laugh at the guy. I always have been, and will be a Golota fan.

Me and two other friends were pretty much the only ones pulling for Golota to win.. or at least an honorable KD of Adamek last night in the whole bar. As much as I like Adamek, and knew how much a loss would hurt him, I didnt care. I couldnt help but root for Andrzej one last time.

I don't think Golota retires yet ... he have serious rematch offer from Bowe.
