I think Dirrell will have extreme confidence going into this fight. I think he'll commit to his punches more and have a better game-plan this time. I don't see him being ko'd and to be honest im not sure what to expect. Not ready to make a prediction but I think this could easily go either way

Abraham is better than Froch though. He can't run against Abraham like he did against Carl, that's for sure.

Abraham is quick enough to catch up with Dirrell and will land heavily at some stage of the fight. Dirrell is in there with a shout though!

True that. As long as Direll's camp makes the necessary adjustements from the Froch fight, he could pull off the mild upset.

Too many people seem to think of Abraham as this slow, plodding fighter. He doesn't bounce around the ring all night, but his hands are faster than he is being given credit for, certainly faster than Froch, and his mobility is much better than Carl's. He doesn't waste energy running around like an uncoordinated headless chicken, he gets in position and explodes, closing the gap very quickly.

I think so yeah, and I think Dirrell will take it.

Taylor managed to hang in there practically to the end, and I see Dirrell being far more effective than Taylor was. He'll mix up his offensive more, his hand speed and movement will probably allow him to be a lot more effective than Taylor could be, and seeing as it's in the US he won't have to win EVERY round BIG to eek out a SD.

Taylor just stood there jabbing Abrahams arms, but Dirrell will jab the stomach, use uppercuts and hooks (he showed them well agaisnt Froch) round and underneath the guard, and will have success counterpunching when AA opens up a bit.

It sure won't be one sided but I think Dirrell will have improved further after Froch and will be capable of making it competitive.

One thing about AA, when he is in that shell, is that his arms are so big that his high guard goes almost all the way down to his belt and just completely blocks the front. If Dirrel tries to do anything down there he will likely be in low blow territory.

    Yes, I think so.

AA doesn't apply nearly enough pressure as Froch does. Froch only really landed what he did because he was literally chasing Dirrell around the ring, flailing at him from all angles. AA doesn't do that. He waits for you to commit to him or to stand still in front of him, and then attacks. And when he does attack, much of his punching is pretty wild; we've seen that Dirrell has good head movement. If Dirrell adopts hit-and-run tactics, he has the ability to avoid getting hit.

The other intangible is Dirrell's chin. Obviously, if AA lands a bomb he'd probably KO anyone. But the right hand that caught JT isn't something you see every day, and Dirrell could be able to soalk up a fair bit of stick.

Why not? AA may be much better, but he doesn't apply pressure like Froch does. He's mostly fairly static, and, when he does come forward, he does it to throw a quick combination and that's about it, and he's certainly not as fast as Dirrell.

i dont think so...Froch didn't land much, but he did land enuff

and all it will take is 1 shot from Abraham, and it's all over....at best, 2 shots....but i'm sure just 1 will get him out of there

Dirrell is very sloppy. It seems inevitable that AA will eventually catch him with something big.
