Who took a worse beating?

I agree, i think that margarito took some serious punishment in the cotto fight. I also reckon that he was not the same fighter when he fought mosley because of the punishment that cotto dished out.

 

Margarito may have won the fight but he took so many punches to the head in that fight, to the clip of 50% of power punches. Usually when someone lands 50% of their power punches, 179 / 395, that fighter is usually the winner. And it's not like Cotto was throwing pitty pats.

 

Margarito was a human punching bag against mosely. The guy took so much power shots to the head in that fight from a heavy handed hitter, that it would'nt suprise me if he got parkinsons down the road.

 

Margarito took more punishment against Mosely, everything Mosely threw was landing flush.. and everything he was throwing were absolute bombs.

 

Cotto took more punishmeny. However, he understood he couldn't take anymore and put his knee down. Margarito ended up in his ass. Which tell me Cotto can take way more than MArgarito

I think Margarito's punch resistance allowed him to take more vicious shots, from a more damaging offensive fighter. But Cotto copped it for longer, and certainly looked worse. To put it into perspective, i think if Margarito or Mosley had received the shots that Margarito put on Cotto, they would have gone 12 rounds pretty easily (well, maybe not easily), whereas i don't think anyone could have withstood the shots Mosley threw at Margarito, he was simply just teeing off. I don't like watching Margarito - Cotto cause i am a Cotto fan, but i don't like watching the Margarito - Mosley fight because i value human life.

That dosen't mean He do not toook beating because loooking at Margo face He was more battered than when Mosley ko him.

 

Simple. Margarito fought Williams, Santos, Cintron x2, Cotto, and Mosley. He ate huge shots in all those fights. No man, and I don't care who you are, will never be the same. It was good while it lasted, but Margarito's career was drastically shortened because of those fights, and more so because of the Cotto fight. Mosley pretty much finished off what Cotto started and couldn't finish.

Cotto was winning over the first half of the fight.

You can't be serious about Margarito just getting tired. Margarito was beaten pillar to post until he was finally crushed out.

 

I did notice Miguel Cotto Sr said yesterday that Cotto was bleeding from his ears. I didn't like that AT ALL!!
