Its very doubtful now......There is 2 in belfast, 1 in Limerick and another in cork all next month and i heard Peters has another one in mind for December 5th or 12th in the stadium.....

I hope the Limerick show has a real good undercard.......Its going to need it to pull in the crowd....Its a busy day and night
Ireland vs France in Croke Park and the WWE Wrestling is on in the o2 aswell that night

Is McCloskey going to target Devon Alexander and the WBC belt? He's currently ranked #13, traditionally winning the EBU belt puts you in the top 10 of their organization, although M'Baye is currently #11. So beating him is likely to put him up a few places, and then he'll possibly target #3 ranked Ajose Olusegun and then wait his turn?

why would he be any easier than Khan. Khan is the worst of the champs at light-welter imo. And the Khan fight could be easier to make.:yep

I don't think Khan's the weakest and I'd agree with the assertion that Alexander is.

Yes Khan's the one with the dodgy chin, but with the way Roach has him fighting now he looks very hard to pin down and his hand speed would cause serious problems for McCloskey(who's chin I'm a little concerned about).

Alexander on the other hand is one of the most average title holders I've seen in a long time. I've never rated him and I think McCloskey would beat him if he was the opponent on November 6th.

The reason McCloskey's team will probably go after Khan is(as you said) it's an easier fight to make. But it's not an easier fight to win.

Khan's by no means great, but he's better than average, and Devon Alexander is Mr.average.

Guy's I'm sorry to sound negative but McCloskey, as skillfull as he is, will be in big trouble if he maintains his head movement not gaurd style defense at world level.
Colin Lynes nearly wobbled him in the 2nd round of that fight and if someone either with
A> world class speed and good reach
    or
B> World class power with faints and combination like skill
comes up against McCloskey he will be tested like he has never been tested before.
Now I'm a massive massive McCloskey fan but his habbit of leaving his hands down really troubles me. Right now I think khans hand speed would be trouble for him. McCloksey is definitely European championship material but I would hate to see expectations rising too quickly here.

I would agree with you. I have never liked the low hands style, unless it we are talking about elite fighters such as Ali or Roy Jones.

Khan v McCloskey would be a poor fight imo. I think both would have trouble hitting each other. Whilst Khan is fast and has excellent footwork, McCloskey is also very evasive and can see a punch real early. Hence, I have said it before, Khan would not be able to find McCloskey in the same way was able to land on Kotelnik.

the guy has no amateur experiance what so ever! Im told hes a sufer aswell

I have given him my coveted awards for:

Best ring entrance (he jumped the top rope to get into the ring)

    and

    Best shorts

He seems like a real charachter I'm going to have to get an interview with him soon!
