the light hitting Hopkins had JOhnson out on his feet numerous times when they fought back in 1997. Get your facts straight.

And Segundo Mercado had Hopkins down twice a similar amount of years ago, what's your point? You're list has Mayweather on it, which already makes it pathetic and invalid. Undoubtedly he has a solid chin, but who has hit him flush for it to be in the top 5 in boxing? Johnson hasn't even been close to getting stopped or hitting the canvas since '97, and that's with a come-forward style.

The lack of people mentioning Margarito is laughable, considering before he went in the ring with Mosely he had the greatest chin ever blah blah. Just because he suffered a TKO loss to Mosely doesn't mean he doesn't have a great chin. He still has one of the best beards in boxing, in fact he's probably top 3 P4P in the chin department. The fight with Mosely in fact showed his chin to be better, the amount of absolute monster shots he took clean and still kept going was amazing.

Who the **** said he had the best chin ever? People aren't mentioning him because of a lack of respect that is entirely justified.

The troll strikes again. You clearly never saw a prime Hopkins.

Mayweather's hardly in the top 5. Principly because we haven't seen it tested as much as the likes of Johnson, McCall, Andrade, Abraham, Mosley etc.

Probably because Hopkins and Mayweather generally don't get hit clean.

Aye, I get this reasoning, but surely over the course of their careers they've each been tagged clean many times, and neither has been stopped. For that reason they need to at least enter the discussion for sure.

Both definately have solid chins, and who knows, maybe they are among the best in boxing? But when we're talking about iron chinned, I like to think of fighters who've had there's tested in battle a little more. Which is why the likes of Johnson & Abraham would feature on my top 5, not least because Abraham's jaw literally is 'steel'.

Depends how loosely you use the term "iron chin". Neither Hopkins or Mayweather have proved such in my judgment. They both can take shots, though. No question about it.

Magarito is not being mentioned because he was brutally KOed. Iron Chinned fighters don't get KOed like he was. He has a very good Chin but it is not an Iron Chin.

Must the chincheckers do everyting on here?

To be fair to the cheating ****, he took absolutely every shot from Mosley clean, and it still took a brutal 4-punch flush combination to stop him.
