its time for the train to retire. I would hate to see the guy get seriously hurt... at 41, enough is enough. Golota will never be back in the belt chase. His fights would be for checks only..... hang em up Andrew

So you actually thought Golota had a chance to be back in the Belt Chase?

It was pretty obvious even at the Jermey Bates fight...

Nah. The career might be over, but the Express will always live on!

With a little luck, Golota will be back to impersonating police officers in no time.

I see most of you is just standing in a long line for a piece of Bart's grandmas
silver fork collection and the most obvious assessment of Andrew now is that
he is totally shot and should immediately retire. Is that right?

I however personally think that everything is relative in this world:

    - is Golota shot? Comparing to Golota from 1996 and 2005 he is - at least in the skills
department, comparing to Golota from Bates, McBride, Mollo .... he is just 10 lb behind.
So why is he looking as completely shot now? ... the obvious answer is: Adamek
    - fast, sharp, skilled, powerful & successful, who looked in front of Golota like a prime Jones Jr.

    - here is the main question: should I stay in the long line for a piece of Barts fork collection?
That is still relative and requires answer to the following questions:

    a) Is Golota able to beat any top young hungry contender (as Adamek, Haye, Povetkin, Chambers) ... no!

    b) Is Golota able to survive with any potentially dangerous and taugh puncher
    (Peter, Arreola, Tua) .... no!

    c) Is Golota able to beat top dogs in the division (Wlad, Vitaly) ... hell no!

    .... now the tricky part:

    d) Is Golota still able to win belt and become World Champion ... hell yes!
Even todays Golota would have a decent chance to beat Valuev, so as long
as Valuev keep the belt Golota has chance to fulfill his dream.

    tricky question #2.

    e) Is Golota able to get a shot at the belt again ... yes and once more yes!
There is plenty of slower, less talented, less conditioned, less determined boxers
around who Golota may fight and win impressively enough to get the desired shot ...
anyone from: Toney, Rahman, Ruiz, Holyfield, Briggs, Maskaev, Meehan, etc is in Golota range.

The bottom line: will I stay in line for Bart's forks?

As long as Golota wants still continue and has chance to win some I will support him.
Its plenty of circumstances assumed, but right now I will stick my rusty & dirty fork
in Bart's ass waiting what Andrew decides and what plans he has for his own future.
