This is what I don't get. You got biased people saying Pac hasn't really been tested at the higher weights because of a drained DLH and a "shot" Hatton with less punch resistance. But then when they talk about PBF/Marquez, and how if it was Pac it wasn't a mismatch because he was already proven to be good at this higher weights. Which is it "haters"? Can't have it both ways.
That's because you're a ******. He fought a SMW who also fought at MW moving down being clearly FAR bigger to the point where ******s like you called the fight a circus which ends with Pac stretched out cold. Then he fought Hatton, the king of 140lbs since beating Tszyu in 2005, who ALSO fought former #1 P4P Mayweather moving up to welter and Mayweather DOWN from 154 to welter. This wasn't Hatton's first fight at welter either and he was actually competing in there and lasted 10 rounds. MANY people picked DLH and Hatton based on size, even I picked Hatton over Pac based on size. If you can't see what Pac is doing then follow another sport like golf or circus shows like UFC.
Go back and read what I wrote or don't even bother responding. I said I'm a fan of Manny, but the fact remains he has NOT BEEN IN THE RING YET WITH A TRUE WELTER. That is pretty much undeniable. Hatton has ONE FIGHT at WW (edit -- forgot about Collazo) and promptly deposited his arse back at JWW... what does that tell you? As for Hoya, well we all thought it was going to be a mismatch, but didn't know quite the extent of how much the weight drain was going to affect Oscar before the fight. You mean to tell me guys like Jones and Byrd would have lost to the competion they lost to if it wasn't the product of cutting weight later in their careers? You guys are hypersensitive to what the statement "Manny hasn't fought a welterweight yet" represents. I'm not saying Manny won't have a fantastic campaign at 147, I'm saying WE CAN'T EFFECTIVELY JUDGE IT YET BECAUSE WE HAVE NO LEGITIMATE DATA TO GO ON.
