So noone thinks it's worthwhile to discuss the fact Pac hasn't been in with a full-fledged welter yet?

Nah not in this thread. In general.

The thread starter does make some sense of course. Pac has barely taken any punches in his last 3 fights. We don't how how well he will take em if he does take some good ones from Cotto.

    But everyone knows this.

Holy **** man, you WIN THE PRIZE!!! You actually demonstrated an acceptable level of reading comprehension in this thread, unlike so many who came before you. I salute your abilities.

I missed the part where Pac announced he was campaigning at 147?

Cause I haven't once heard him say "I want to win the welterweight title"...

so what if pac beats cotto and was virtually unharmed assuming roach's 1 round stoppage happened? does this mean that pac still is untested at the weight?

His ability to take a punch will still be untested yeah. It's just a fact.

No, if he blows Cotto out of the water, we can say he officially beat a true welter. It may mean his CHIN is still untested at welter, but that's it.

Well, he had not fought a featherweight before Barrera, he had not fought a superfeather before Morales, he had not fought at lightweight before Diaz and had not fought a Jr WW before Hatton, so what's the point?

Exactly, and he hasn't fought a cruiserweight before either. He should just jump straight to cruiser.
