Will you give equal/more/less credit for Cotto beating Pac and vice-versa? If not, why?

I keep seeing excuses for each winning, or at least potential ones. What are they and why would they be valid if you believe such?

    Examples:
    -Cotto weight-drained
    -Cotto ruined by Margarito
    -Pacquiao distracted in training camp
    -Cotto is too "big"
    Ect.....

Pac gets credit and remains P4P 1 no matter what happens, imho.

Equal, both have accepted a tough challenge. Cotto has agreed to meet at 145 against a dangerous fighter while pac is going against one of the most viscous punchers today while going up to 145.

Being that Pac is the favorite Cotto should get more credit for winning. HOWEVER I dont see it that way, I actaully think that Cotto is the fave. I think that too many people got blinded by Pac beatting Oscar and Hatton and are now thinking that Pac is some kind of monster. I would actaully give Pac more credit for beatting Cotto then the other way around. I personally think that many will be shocked at the way that Cotto beats on pac. If Pac has any shot at winning this fight it will happen early, once Cotto gets his timing down Pac will be a sitting duck and will get beat in to submission or Roach will have to save him like he did in his last Philippines vs Puerto Rico matchup with JuanMa vs Penalosa. In many ways I see the fight going the very same way. If Pac cant get to Cotto early he is doomed.

I would but you should know by now that haters of both fighters will have their excuses ready. I won't be too upset by the "Cotto was shot and ruined" or Pacquiao was never a welterweight comments.

Its like usual in these parts.

I am not saying I am definitely right in this, but I think I could argue the point. If Cotto decimates Pac, I would have Cotto as WW, rank 1 unquestioned. But Given Pac's career achievements at traversing weight classes, I would still rank him better P4P.

And I am a Cotto fan. I have Cotto winning this fight personally, but if the general builds (weights) of these two were reversed I really doubt Cot could handle Pac.

It is all about HOW they fight.
    Win or loose.

As easy as it is to say equal, I know I'll give more credit to Pacquiao. I've already given Cotto all the credit he deserves because I EXPECT him to win this fight.

They both will get massive credit. It also depends on how they fight as well, but Cotto will get massive credit because Pacquiao has been on fire right now and Pacquiao will get massive credit because he isn't fighting a shot or a weight drained fighter.
