Im of the belief that most people can see his antics are to sell fights only and don't take it personally.

    So is he

Even if people think he genuinely is a dick, they may still think he is good for boxing.

George Foreman was a dick when he was younger - but he was great for boxing.

If he beats the Beast all will tell if he is a typical English gobshite or the real deal

He has created a buzz. But so far that is all he has done.

Over the course of this year he prevented the one of the two best fighters in the division from fighting for half the year by screwing him around.
He then tried to do the same to the other one of the best fighters.

So far that is doing more harm than good.

He could make up for it. So far he shows no real signs of wanting to, but he could. Like Chambers and Toney seem to have lifted their game. Haye could do so too. Or he could be like Arreola and Peters and just keep doing the same crap.

Some people might say that jumping the queue at the WBA makes a mockery of that belt. But it's doing a great job of being a mockery all by itself. A lot of fighters earned a title shot more than Haye. I only have so much sympathy for them though, they should have abandoned the WBA a long time ago if they were actually good enough to do so.

If he fights regularly, he's good. If he refuses to fight but continues to sit on the sidelines badmouthing everyone then he's bad. The talking sells fights and entertains some fans, but he undermines the sport while not fighting anyone yet talking like he's better than all the champions.

He has created a buzz which boxing#s heavyweight division has needed for quite sometime...

He did **** around the Klitchko's and alot of fans when he had his bad back, but I feel that fighting Valuev, while he isnt a big name its getting people thinking how can this guy beat this beast?

With the Klitchko's severed head image I though that was over the top and very distasteful but it got people talking about heavyweight boxing again, he wouldnt of got that fight if he didnt provoke or confront them into some kind of way

I agree, his antics are to sell fights.
But they are not particularly impressive, he's just acting a dickhead, anyone can do that. That's okay, if he'd been fighting too.
But he hasn't fought for about a year, just talked and acted the fool.

If he can backup his bluster, then he's good for boxing. But right now, at this point, I'd have to say he's bad for boxing. He hasn't fought in nearly a year and he's pulled out of two fights in a row. And, considering the fact that he is actually favored to beat Valuev, he really his a tall task (no pun intended) on November 7th. He not only has to beat Valuev but he has to look great doing it. A close decision win isn't, and shouldn't, impress anyone.
