Somebody needs to make a clip of that counter double jab to the body and head, from about 8:20 to 8:25.

In all seriousness, I think Conteh would have stopped Froch in about 4 rounds. His jab would have smacked Carl's head back repeatedly and the follow-up blows would have all landed pinpoint. Hard. John C had real power before his hand(s) gave up on him.

Prime Conteh could well beat Jones. He had everything needed to trouble Roy: the jab, fluidity, speed, toughness, killer instinct and all-round game. And he was dirty in the trenches. Jones would have done everything to avoid facing him at all.

he's probably our most under-rated world champ.he was a hell of an athlete and as you said ,before he started having trouble with his right hand he looked set to rule the roost for years

I could n't agree more. Prime Conteh v Froch would be no contest. Froch worries me a little. Too one dimensional.

Conteh is the most talented British post war fighter I've seen. An atg in terms of ability (but not achievement obviously).
Thread is rather unfair on Froch.

We get it Xplosive, you hate Froch. Now stop wasting space on a forum that has been increasingly battered with pointless threads over the past two months PLEASE

I've started to watch a lot of Conteh recently and he really had the talent to be a superb fighter. Didn't he also party quite a lot outside of the ring? That along with his hand troubles probably accelerated his decline.

It would have been a dynamic, career-boosting highlight reel of a fight for Conteh, as he would have blown out Froch in 3 or 4 rounds easily.
