That’s the way to get interesting and deserving challengers.

i think (assuming he beats williamson, not guaranteed) that ray austin puts maskaev away in a few rounds. i remember in his fight with golota he came out swinging like a madman, and if he does that with maskaev he'll blow him away quickly

Austin is actually a lot better than people think. Fans judge him solely on his loss to Wlad, but in my opinion he is nearly a top ten guy. I'd take him agains Oleg, Valuev, or Haye. The only guys I know would beat him are the Klitschkos, Chagaev, Chambers and maybe Povetkin.

Haye would destroy him in couple of rounds but Maskaev could lose to him.

Vincent... always coming up with interesting scenarios seemingly out of nowhere.

I think Austin is too easily dismissed, too. Not going to take a belt, but should be Oleg.

I slightly favor Austin over Davryl Williamson. If he gets past that though I favor Maskev over Austin.

If this is the best they can come up with, maybe we should just outlaw heavyweight boxing. It's embarrassing. We have past their prime old men fighting old men who never had primes. Fat guys crying in the ring. A cruiser weight who doesn't actually fight. The only two guys worth anything refuse to fight each other. And somehow James Toney, an old fat middleweight falls into the scene.

Williamson is very chinny himself, have you ever seen Joe Mesi's quicki KO over him? On the other hand TOS is a good boxer overall but so is Austin. That should be a decent fight but I wouldn't count on it since TOS vs. Chris Byrd was the worst Heavyweight fight I've ever seen.
